The place is relaxing, quiet in general, (except for the noise caused by the ongoing construction nearby , which did not bother me at all), nice food and drinks, the restaurant/bar on the rooftop provides a good view of the ocean’s horizon , the amiable and accommodating staff, the considerate owners (allowing me to have rice instead of bread for salmon steak- which was delicious!), and the nice room overlooking the sea with glass windows on the other side providing more lighting and good view of trees! There was a moment of “brown out” and I needed to go out since there was no generator. Ironically, It actually made me enjoy the sea breeze and the quietness of the surrounding!

Everything was nice. Mark and Christine were very nice and accommodating. I’m 62 and a very experienced diver. I wanted to just snorkel and was questioned and ridiculed by an overweight sloppy Jesus. Tambok is his nickname. He questioned me like I was a child. He’s not good with customers. Another lady had a run in with him as well. I think, he thinks he owns and runs the place.

THE VIEW is PRICELESS. my first time to stay ocean view in the Philippines after a few visits now. THE STAFF was WONDERFUL! On site bar and full service restaurant with many items reasonably priced! Unfortunately, the CR has no waste vent, Bec it smells of ? ?. We had the same problem at an apartment in Taiwan. I didn't expect that here. l at a "resort". The new owners have much to learn yet and admitted they have learned a lot since taking over. The CR needs some updating in my opinion. The beautiful tub that allows you to bath and soak while looking out the floor to ceiling glass windows must take 6 hours to fill up. Bec even with the plug in, after 1 hour it didn't show much sign of filling up. Not sure what the deal was there, we had to ask how to use the controls and still the water was extremely slow or low flow. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very hard. Not comfortable. Unfortunately, i got food poisoning or a stomach bug from sushi in the Japan before my flight to Cebu. So that hit me after I landed. So that first night I had a small leakage on the sheet. We were reassured by the maid there would be no charge. But 2.5 days later upon checkout we were told by the maid that the mgr said a 3,000 pesos charge would need to be paid. Equivalent of $48 USD. I demanded to speak to the mgr or owner Immediately. We could have washed out the little brown water stain ourselves, but the way the conversation went it seemed they had just tried to clean the sheet 2m5 days later ? .... ? Well of course it won't come out easily now. That's your fault. After a 20min+ discussion. The owner agrees to reduce the "already discounted" damage fee to 2,000 pesos. So i agreed. Bec I am half to blame. He claimed they use "high quality" items for bedding and things and that he couldn't just order 1 sheet. Bec if color differences in material and that the he had to order 10 sheet packs to do that. OR order a complete comforter bed set. So this is also why I agreed.

I loved the views and the peace of it all. The water equipment was readily available and the cottage was the best place to have a drink and relax. The location. It is 20 to 30 mins from the airport, no nightlife or entertainment nearby, no restaurants nearby except the one on site, no bars nearby either. The location is within a local area so you have to take a scooter or a grab to get anywhere.

We booked this hotel from April 22–26, 2026 for a group of 7 people, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. The location itself already raised concerns. The road leading to the property is rough, narrow, and feels like a private, isolated road. It was very dark at night, and only one vehicle can pass at a time, which made us feel unsafe upon arrival. There are also no nearby stores or establishments, making the place feel even more secluded. The hotel did not match the photos shown online. The images appear heavily filtered and outdated. When we arrived, it felt like we were the only guests staying there at the time. Several amenities were either unavailable or poorly maintained. There was no WiFi, as the receptionist said it was still being fixed. The water seemed unclean, almost like rainwater, and the shower was rusty and had an unpleasant smell—possibly due to the location near the sea. Cleanliness was a major issue. There were bed bugs, which made it very difficult for us to sleep comfortably. Another concern was the lack of staff availability. The receptionist was not on duty 24 hours—she would leave around 8 PM and return around 7 AM. They were also not answering calls, which is very concerning in case of emergencies. Additionally, we were not given proper guidance on how to use the amenities and had to figure things out ourselves. Due to these issues, we had no choice but to check out early. We requested a refund, but were told that once checked in, the booking is non-refundable—something that was not clearly stated on their property listing. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and a waste of money. Lesson learned: do not rely solely on online photos, as they may not reflect the current condition of the property. Accomodating, my parents enjoy the stay

  • Engine customer Apr 2026

Staff were efficient. Good facilities and tasty food. Unfortunately, they did not give the full 20 percent discount for senior citizens in the restaurant. They only gave 5 percent -- which is a violation of Philippine law. They can be held liable for this in court.
