1521 Mactan Resort

Breakfast was good, although they need to add more to variety. Location is nice for me too Some of the beds are old and needs replacement. Some towels needed to be replaced with new ones

A mini fridge would of been nice in the room and a night stand on both sides of the bed.

Great location. Great ocean swimming and great swimming pool, loved the 8’ depth. Great staff, helpful and friendly

The whole place is nice. Love the way they cleaned their beach side. The pool is clean and well maintained. Their restautant. We waited 1.5 hours before our food was served. We even cancelled our third order since it's been 1.5 hrs but they keep on saying 5 more minutes. When we ordered, we were the only customers they had during that time. I understood if there were advanced orders, but at least they should be honest enought to tell us how much time we should be waiting for our orders. They only told us 30-40mins.The waitress who served us since we arrived in the afternoon is good so I gave her tip. The waiter who got our order and told us to wait for 30-45 mins is different.

All the staff we interacted with were very kind and professional. The patio area was a nice place to relax and enjoy the view of the water. All the lights in our suite were cold, cheap LEDs - it was very unwelcoming. Warmer lighting would have helped a lot. Although the bed was very comfortable, all the other furniture & amenities in our room were pretty dated. I don't know if it was just our room, but it gave the impression the resort was a bit past its prime. None of the windows in our suite had a good view - in fact most of them just viewed the hallways of the hotel so if the curtains were opened, anyone walking by could see right in. Also, there was a 2000p cash deposit required for incidentals. Seemed odd that it would have to be in cash & they didn't accept credit card for this. Fortunately we had the money on hand but calling this out in case it's not mentioned when booking.

The facilities and staff are great. The food at the restaurant was also very good. We really enjoyed the views from the pool and beach. There were several things that needed repairs, like the toilet seat was lose, the shower head sprayed water into the ceiling, the toilet was wasting water all day due to a defective valve, the mini splits AC units were difficult to operate, and the sink faucet was missing the aerator and water splashed all over the sink area,

Staff gracefully accommodated our need for a balcony with great views. The long balcony of Room 401 gave us exactly what we wanted. Room is set for 4 but the hotel provided 2 extra beds for our group of 6 to be together. The staff's friendliness and welcoming service made a huge difference in thoroughly appreciating our stay in spite of an all night, all day rain. In fact, we found the room the perfect place to be to enjoy the stormy weather and soaking wet atmosphere outside. We have many fun memories of dancing, singing, being goofy on the balcony on a super wet day. Thank you 1521 for giving us a magical time in your resort! The storm trapping us indoors (hahaha) ... although we ended up having a magical time because of the balcony that gave us the beautiful, expansive view of the sky and water and the space to enjoy the rain.

Very nice place to spend the day between flights. Pool and restaurant were very nice. I was able to have laundry done and have an in room massage. Staff was very helpful.

Very clean pool and beach, great size rooms, friendly staff. Joeys table alfresco restaurant serves tasty food. The bathroom amenities/toiletries basic, to match the other great qualities of resort could do with a refresh of better brands.

Food was exceptional!! Delivered quick and efficient by Walter, one of many staff waitiyto be helpful The Lifeguards also been awesome. Very attentive and friendly. They make the best of the location. But being in a busy place it's always noisy around from outside the walls

Food is great and has privacy.not too crowded Beach side is not super nice.

Access to the hotel beach and two swimming pools. Extremely friendly staff. Very nice and clean room with a balcony. In the future, maybe the hotel could cooperate with local travel agencies and offer tours around Cebu, not only transportation.

Mactan Resort is a hidden gem! Staff is beyond friendly and made our stay so exceptional, would definitely stay again. Breakfast included at Joeys resultant was delicious with excellent service! Small beach however has a big pool and can even book tours through the resort. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Thanks so much for such a great stay! Couldn’t recommend enough

We had a great stay. Very affordable for the family with free breakfast in buffet style. The food was good.

Staff are so polite and kind. They are fast in service. Our room’s balcony door not working, the exhaust fan in the rest room not working, the soap wasn’t refilled.

The room was fantastic. Food was good. Staff was very nice and kind. Sliding glass doors to the balcony was nice. We booked a sea view junior suite and a tree blocked the view.
