Extended Stay America Suites Clearwater Carillon Park

Avoid this place like the plague. Extended Stay America, or I should say The Blackstone Group and Starwood Capital Group, who took the company private, are milking every last drop of blood out of it. Terribly maintained property. The door locks don't even work. There's no staff to help you. There's not enough staff to even maintain the desk. Check-in was practically impossible. Essentially they've become a bunch of slumlords. I think they get about a billion dollars a year in revenue though. I wish I would have taken some photos.

Expected this to be like the Extended Suites down the road.

If you’re really in need of a place to stay for relatively cheap, this might be an okay place for you, but don’t come here if you’ll be staying more than a night or two, or are interested in any type of hotel/motel experience. The complete lack of sanitation or any type of cleaning was painfully evident, from messy crumby floors to sticky microwave to dirty sink and tubs to trash behind the dresser to socks under the bed and random stack of dirty used clothes and blankets in the kitchen cabinet. This place was filthy, and had no available cleaning supplies to do anything about it, not even hand soap at either of the sinks. In addition to the physical dirtiness, there was also a perpetual stink, even without using the bathroom, and lingering cigarette smoke, including other guests smoking right outside our windows. Overall just poorly maintained, with a broken microwave (the replacement was gross inside, and sitting on the counter, taking up more space), busted cabinets and drawers, shelves hanging off the walls, broken stove fan, and beds not fully made when arrived. The wifi and TV were also very spotty, especially when it rained, there was no cold water, no chairs by the pool, no ice machine or drinking water fountain, and water leaks out of the tub when showering. There are dishes and breakfast available, however you have to request the dishes, and there aren’t much available, and what we received had food stuck on it. Only upsides were good water pressure and decent AC.

Absolutely horrible hotel. Would never stay there again. The front desk closes at 7pm and it took about 45 mins to get a new key made to get in my room. The rooms smelt like there was a dead body in there. Only smelt it when opening the cabinets. Key barely worked when we got there. Had to wait for maintenance to change the whole key lock. Only reason we stayed is because it’s all we could afford at the time.

The room had a bad smell and looked like a animal damaged couch and bathroom door as well as mold on wall and in bathroom around tub. Bed had a HUGE dip in it on one side. Also was forced to upgrade room due to my room I booked on this site was unavailable and had to pay for the upgrade. Will Never book at this hotel again especially for the price I paid.

I was told there was an elevator. If there was, it was very well hidden. The mattress was as hard as a rock. No sleep. Paint chipped & carpet ripped. Good for a rhyme, but nothing else.

No running water

All of the Employees were friendly helpful and went above and beyond at anytime day or night. Thankyou for making my stay Safe and Comfortable.

Upon arrival, they gave me a room that was never cleaned. Said, something got a new room still was half cleaned. I decided not to argue, got my own stuff. I Cleaned my room, the only thing I can tell you about this place is that the AC works very well. There was roaches, just not a good place. There was no breakfast to be seen.

First of all this place looks like is use as a home for people or something, there were ppl living there. The receptionist was gone for like 20 minutes, looks like she was on charge of everything because she was the one who checked my friends room to see if it was available, she was nice though. The smell of cigarets was terrible, the surroundings were suspicious, the room super old an outdated, they offer “breakfast”, we were told they put it on a table on the reception side, that by the way it was closed in the morning we went to check out asap. I am very disappointed because this chain of hotels usually are pretty decent but this one never again. Stay away.

I think this place is not a place to promote in plataforma like this ones. Everything look nasty and dangerous.
