The old part of town

Beautiful room in a nice location toward the end of General Flores, the main drag in Colonia, and steps away from the Barrio Historico. They had free bikes to check out the area and were very helpful holding my bags and giving dining suggestions. A few minor details, nothing major: the water pressure was kind of backwards, with the bathroom tap on full blast and the shower on the weaker side. Clean, but not spotless. Service was a little remote, but responsive enough.

There is no one to support you in the property. They only took payment in cash or a very specific banking transfer system. Also during the stay we had problems with the toilet, which was flushing every 20 seconds, and those were not solved, instead they suggested a workaround - cutting off the water supply for the toilet and opening only when using. Very disappointing one night.

The communication was great, and the arrangements - mostly by whatsapp - were flexible and easy. The location is perfect for exploring the old town of Colonia on foot. The room and all the commodities were exceptional, everything super new, clean, and organized. The establishment also offered bicycles to explore the surroundings, it was a super nice experience. The weather was quite humid and for that some rooms could smell a bit like mold, but then we asked to change and the hostess promptly answered our requests!

The location is excellent, and the staff checking us in and out are super friendly and extremely helpful. We had to pay cash, but even that was made easy by the lady picking up the payment. The rooms are very humid, causing paint to fall off onto the beds, floors, etc. We had a leak in our room, as it rained outside, it also rained inside. The bathroom has tempered glass walls, not transparent, but they also don't offer a lot of privacy.

- This is not a hotel but a flat without host/reception. they give you a code to open the door - Incredible location in historic centre - Cosy room with modern feel, amenities are provided, king size bed - Clean - Good value for money, especially in comparison to alternatives in the same location - Not bright as the room directly gives on a small courtyard, no real window - The top window could not be closed (please fix it) which makes AC useless - I found the bed very itchy… I don’t know if it’s the soap they used to clean the sheets or something else (!) but this was not bearable to sleep properly
