I asked for a refund so I could just leave, to which she refused saying to keep waiting, as there were dozens of people complaining and the staff couldn’t handle anything that was going on. This was well after check in time. After attempting to get a refund through Expedia, the hotel claimed I already checked in despite me never even giving them my name, as they were so behind she wouldn’t even take my info. There were a dozen groups of guests waiting for rooms. Hotel made zero accommodations for anybody, is refusing refunds, and would not even give a real time estimate. They didn’t even note our names to understand who arrived in what order. They just told everybody it’s a 15 minute wait, even though dozens of people were waiting for hours. The worst part isn’t that they did not have rooms ready on time. Their refusal to issue a refund, to try to offer accommodations like somewhere to store our luggage, and the repeated lies about how long the problem would last are inexcusable, and it ruined the nights of dozens of people.

While housekeeping eventually cleaned a sticky bathroom floor after I complained, the room maintenance is a hazard. The space smelled heavily of smoke, the TV tech is completely outdated, and I had to kill a live wasp trapped inside the window frame on Saturday. I texted the front desk a photo, and though they claimed they would send maintenance, the issue was ignored. I found a second live wasp in the exact same spot Sunday morning. Staining on the window treatment clearly points to a compromised exterior window seal. The manager on duty ultimately comped our breakfast and addressed the floor after I pushed back, but a guest shouldn't have to fight for basic standards. The initial agent's dismissive attitude, the refusal to hold bags, and the unready room set a terrible tone. Finding stinging insects inside is a clear oversight. I do not recommend this property.

We had our teenagers with us and 2 rooms. Housekeeping barged in on us, knocking and opening our room at 8:30 am after being out late at a concert, checkout is at noon and they woke us up! Bathroom was very dirty, dark hair everywhere and toilet was gross. Bathroom exhaust fan doesn’t work. We should have inspected better upon arrival but were pressed for time getting to our concert and only dropped out stuff off and went right to the venue. I complained to the front desk at checkout and they took notes but did nothing else. Next time we go to the Merriweather pavilion we will stay somewhere else! Gross

Bedding was old. Horrible pillows. Bathtub slippery and retained water. Bugs in room.

Will not pay for a continental breakfast at any hotel Our air conditioner was so loud , you couldn’t hear the tv or sleep. We checked in on Friday. And was told no maintenance person til Monday and no other rooms available our size. We received no housekeeping. Not even towels. I had to go to the front desk to get towels. We will not be back at this location.

I really appreciate that the staff was able to offer us early check in so we could attend a wedding on time. Everything was fine.
