Hyatt House Columbus OSU / Short North

When we arrived for check in at 11:00pm was informed the studio suite multiple beds was no longer available due to “air conditioning issues” was told we would be getting a king bed room with a pull out couch. When I expressed my concerns of this room for 4 adults was told could have a smaller 2 bed room. We took the king room due to 4 adults and 4 pieces of luggage. The room was a studio suite bike fitness room. Could not even walk around the sofa bed once pulled out so my sister had to crawl out over my brother in law any time she need to get out. Not enough room for 4 pieces of luggage to be kept open. My sister Called the next morning to book a room for them (keep in mind had already paid for the reservation made August 2025) she was given a room larger than the one we were given to begin with and no we do not believe this room was use that first night due to they took the iron we requested out of that room and my sister was told it was available immediately.

The room was great we had to change rooms twice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Both rooms were clean.

Excellent breakfast with a variety of choices. Friendly, welcoming staff. Clean, quiet, comfortable room. Plenty of space outside for our dog within the hotel's dog park as well as a walking path along the back of the hotel. Very pleasant stay for 5 nights. Would definitely stay again. The business center was unavailable during our stay.

Exceptional

Room was clean with plenty of towels. The gym had more than average equipment and large comfortable for multiple people although there were few there in the early am. Only issue was parking. A couple of guests had large trailers parked taking up many stalls. Staff had guests park in front of the lobby and use the few ev stalls as there’s no street parking in the area. Once the trailers moved out parking was not a problem

Check-in was quick. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Only downside was they ran out of coffee by 9am. Would def stay again!

The facility was conveniently located mere minutes from the OSU Medical Center and several restaurants and shopping. The Staff was amazing! I appreciated the early breakfast hours, as we had early medical appointments. The automatic blinds in the room was nice, but they were not working properly.

Exceptional

Breakfast was fine. Walking path adjacent fine. Nice outside fire place areas. Clean nice bar. Stupid bathroom door was the barn type that slides and banged into the wall every time you use it and provides little or no privacy. Closet and room are small. No one told us they didn't do room service every day. So we were surprised to return Saturday to a messy room. If you stay 2 days, like we did Friday and Saturday ,room only gets cleaned after you leave??? Front desk help was iffy. One Friday night girl helpful, Saturday day girl not helpful.

One of the nicer hotels that i’ve been to. Super clean rooms with a pretty clean shower and great breakfast.

Only one suggestion, breakfast and coffee could be better. Good Selection but not delicious. Breakfast 3 Stars!

The staff is wonderful! You should consider giving them a raise and a bonus! the place behind the tables in the room should be cleaned more often. when checking to see if the phone was plugged in all the way it was dirty back there.
