We had a lovely stay. Everything was perfect.

location was good in relation to the GR 65 we arrived approximately 30 minutes before the check in time. The host came to the locked gate in front of the property and informed us we were too early. We had walked approximately 10 miles during the day and it was hot, and we were tired. We thought it would’ve been nice if she would’ve open the gate and allow us to sit on the chairs provided out front in the yard, she made no such offer. when we did check in, and she showed us where our room was, it and the entire house was very cold. The older buildings in the area are well insulated and stay quite cool. The windows were open and it was at least 10°F warmer outside however we could not have the windows open because dozens of beetles were flying in and landing in the room and the bathroom , which required that we shut the windows. So we asked her if we could use the heat she informed us that she did not turn the heat on in the Gite until late October because she claimed it was still summer, despite the fact that the room was quite cold. When I asked her about the heat and told her we were very cold, she suggested we could find another accommodation. she didn’t appear to care one way or another about our comfort.

Beautiful tranquil setting with a big, shady garden area for relaxing. Large shower and bathroom. Comfortable private sitting area for relaxing. I was in a shared room with 3 beds. The bed was comfortable and the room was nicely decorated and very clean. The hosts were very friendly and the meal was delicious. The location is a short walk away from the cathedral, but it was nice and cool down by the canal.

The owners were very helpful. They got the bus schedule for me and prepared a meal for us when we arrived wet and hungry on a Sunday afternoon when nothing was open.
