Very good location

Good location and even better when there is a free carpark in front of the hostel. Maybe a bit of available shower gel in the bathroom would be nice :)

Is well located, the staff is very friendly! It’s a huge hostel so it’s not very social. The automatic lights!! You are sleeping and suddenly everything is bright :(

We really enjoyed our stay at Danhostel. We had never stayed in a hostel before, and it was a great first experience. I liked that all 7 of us could be in one private room together with our own bathroom. Location was excellent - very near everything we wanted to do. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

The room was calm, I think it is the best hostel I’ve been to. Juste one shower and toilet for the room of 7 persons. It was « clean » at the beginning and got dirty quite quick… there were flies in the bathroom. Only one towel for the stay. Room was very smelly :( The main hall was always crowded and noisy.

Location It was a shock that we had to do our own bedding - this should be made clearer at booking stage.

The best thing about Danhostel is location! For our group of 6 to be located this centrally in Copenhagen at this price it is really unbeatable. The fact that they have a variety of shared and private dormitory accommodations, allowed us to share a room with a private bathroom and, while basic, it met our needs. The provision of sheets and towels included in the price is also helpful especially when travelling on a budget--many budget accommodations in Scandinavia (hostels and campground cabins) require you to rent or bring your own. The paid breakfast is good and convenient, and fairly good value for those who eat a hearty breakfast, a bit expensive for light eaters, We stayed here upon arriving in Copenhagen and for night before we returned home. The first time our room was a 6 bed room which was somewhat crowded with all of our luggage; and we had to wait until 3pm (the stated check-in time) and check our luggage in the self-check luggage room, inconvenient but useful. The return visit we found our larger (8 bed) room ready when we arrived early which was excellent, but our night's stay was made somewhat awkward by finding a large group of shirtless boys (maybe a school trip) loitering in the elevator foyer on our floor at one point early in the evening. Later our sleep was disrupted by a lot of noise at 3-4 am in adjacent rooms on our floor and a pair of students talking loudly right outside our door, who I told to go to their rooms. The hostel is evidently a very popular site for such school trips and in this case could have done better in room selection for us given the school group on our floor.

Great location, however one of the roads around was closed and it was a bit inconvenient as that was the shortest route for the train station and it affected the bus route too. Just keep it in mind as Google Maps and City mapper didn't show the diverted way accordingly! The lifts are automatically called upon scanning your room key but it doesn't account for how many people jumps in one go, so it became a bit frustrating having to wait and rescanning as the assigned lift was packed.

Nice modern facility with all the bells and whistles you need. Rooms are small. It is very expensive for a hostel.
