Gables Inn

The Gables Inn serves its purpose well. Close to the U, and with no frills. I've stayed there several times and have always found it clean and equipped as expected. Bed comfort is what took away 1 star. They often creak or squeak, and the mattresses are fairly old. But the AC works, and the refrigerator in the room, and coffee in the lobby are appreciated.

I chose the property for proximity to University of Miami but it was a terrible experience, nothing to like. Run down, dirty, loud from the cars passing and the train. I was very uncomfortable the entire time and was also given a different room than I paid for. It was dark, dank and hadn’t been updated in 30+ years. And they charged $10 to park in their nearly empty parking lot.

This is an older property so I didn't expect too much as far as upgrades but the staff was very welcoming and helpful, had a great experience and would stay here again if need be.

This place was so run down, so old, and so dirty. Everything in our room was dirty and broken. There were cockroaches running around, and the people upstairs were screaming all night and it sounded like they were going to fall through the roof. We left at 4:30am because we couldn’t handle it anymore.

nothing is very noise from the street and the ac is very cold and very noise ….I don’t recommend it.
