The hallway flours and elevators were always stained and dirty. I never saw them being washed in the 6 days we weee there. The toaster machine didn’t work and the yogurt machine was off and on. Biscuits, even they had them were good.

Breakfast

Location was good. When I tried checking in at 3:05 pm, they had to check if there were any clean rooms available. Mind you, I mad reservations 2 weeks before.

Our kids enjoyed the pool. Room seemed clean. The breakfast options were terrible and didn't seem very fresh. The price of the room was outrageous. $450 for one night at a Home2 in Iowa City Iowa was far too much. It should have been half that. The bedding material was scratchy. There were no towels in the pool, and a sign was up saying we had to bring our towels from our room. So, then we asked the front desk for more towels for our room so we could shower, and we never got those towels.

Im pissed off about the hot tub not working when I specifically asked b4 I booked it, I have been waiting 3 days for management to reach out about it.

The stay was ok.. breakfast was not. The hotel was very busy and when we went down for breakfast at 9:00, items were empty and never refilled! We paid a lot of money to stay on this particular night and then not to be able to eat breakfast was a huge disappointment. The worker was present, but not ambitious!

The room was clean but smelled like dog. We stayed in four hotels that week across the country and this had the worst breakfast, cold biscuit, bad sausage,no egg all at 840 breakfast closed at 9. a little disappointing

Great properties stay in for a week. All amenities are wonderful.

Very disappointed that the pool was not available. It was one of the main reasons for selecting this hotel as we had 5 kids who were looking forward to swimming.

Prior to booking a room for my family, I read the reviews to see what people said about the cleanliness of the hotel. The reviews were positive, so I was surprised when we entered our room. The hallway was warm and the smell was not pleasant. The room had a funky smell as well. The bathroom shower had some mold in the corners and the wall paper on one of the bathroom walls had big bubbles in it. My kids were running back and forth barefoot on the carpet and by the end of the night, their feet were black! I was appalled! We travel frequently, and that was the first time that happened to them in a hotel room. There was also a very sticky substance on the carpet that we kept stepping in. I tried to clean it with a Lysol wipe, but it wouldn’t come off. The sheets on the bed smelled weird and it made trying to fall asleep very uncomfortable. As soon as dawn approached, we got ready and left. We didn’t even bother to have breakfast because we knew it wouldn’t be worth staying for. The only positive thing about the stay was that the employees were very pleasant and the size of the room was nice.

Rooms clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff attentive, courteous and helpful. Great location and plenty of parking.

The location is safe and walkable. There is a running/bike trail very close to the hotel. I would stay here again.

Told me I could check in early but when I arrived my room wasn’t ready, pool was close and green, the pool room smelled like rotten garbage, the fireplace didn’t work, a house keeper came into my room after I checked in

Overall seems like the hotel is not well maintained

Room was pretty dirty. It was clear it had not been vacuumed and the bathroom was been ”wiped down” maybe. The shower had clearly just been sprayed and rinsed out. The amount of build up in the shower had me questioning the use of it. However after the kids used the hot tub due to the pool being closed down(looked like a stagnant cesspool) and the smell was so horrible in the pool area we had to leave after just a few minutes, the kids had to shower. Get them into the shower(with flip flops on) and bottles of soap in the shower are completely empty. Decided we’d play some cards outside by the fire pit. Surprise it also doesn’t work, which has apparently been an ongoing issue as a construction worker walked up and light it with his lighter for us.
