The location, the staff, the free parking. Breakfast the same everyday..they should change a little bit..

The room was very comfortable and clean and surprisingly spacious. It’s in a charming alpine style hotel but still has modern furnishings and technology. It was pretty easy to find an available parking spot at any hour in the designated spots across the road. I would have preferred to be a little closer to town to have more dining options available since we were there for four nights.

The public sitting area was functional but not "cozy." It was not really a nice place to sit and relax.

The room and location were great. Hotel was a good place to stay if visiting cortina. The restaurant in the hotel for dinner was really bad.

Quiet and comfortable, very clean and the breakfast was outstanding. Plenty of parking & very nice hotel. Staff wasn't all that friendly when we checked in, but honestly I think that is just Cortina in general. There are much better areas to stay then Cortina that are more authentic to the Dolomites ;)

The hotel staff were wonderful & very friendly! The location was a short walk from downtown & free parking across the street!

Exceptionally friendly and professional staff, beautiful hotel, nice that it was away from town so it wasn’t noisy but you could walk into town on a paved path easily within 10 minutes or so

Hotel Des Alpes is the perfect base for hiking in the Dolomites. The staff was very attentive to our needs. They loaned me treking poles to use for the duration of our stay. Having breakfast provided each morning was a bonus and allowed us to get out the door and into the mountains early.

Amazing views and close to a few of the famous hikes! Absolutely lovely! Breakfast was delicious.

Our room was clean and we had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was large with a great shower, and the complimentary breakfast was great. Location is about a mile north of town, but that worked well for us as we had a car (free parking on site) and Cortina was quite crowded. Only paper cups were provided, and we were hoping that the desk staff could give us some simple advice during our stay (like restaurant suggestions or ideas for hikes). I even emailed them ahead of time to inquire, and was told that information could be given upon arrival, but then we received none despite asking.

My room faced the main road, so it was noisy when trucks passed by. However, it also worked as a natural alarm, which was fine since I came for hiking and needed to get up early. Just a light note.

Location- loved walking in to town before dinner & after. Beautiful walking path with spectacular views! Loved all the staff!! Everyone was so kind and helpful in recommending hikes , public transportation, & nearby shopping locations. Fabulous place to stay!!

More variety in dinner menu

The room was spacious and clean. The view was beautiful. I also liked the availability of parking. The spa was fine, but not great. The breakfast was always good. One exceptional feature of this property was the availability of a washer/dryer (for a fee). After getting soaked in a rainstorm during a hike, it was especially important to get some things washed and dried thoroughly. The washer/dryer was extremely appreciated. The staff were friendly. They even packed us a take-away breakfast when we informed them (the night before) that we would be checking out of the hotel by 4:30am. I was somewhat disappointed that there was no "amenity" in the room. For instance, there was no glass so that we could pour ourselves a glass of water or wine. The paper cups from the bathroom were completely unacceptable for this. It seemed like they provided the bare minimum, but we managed with what we had.

Beautiful property inside and out. Staff was kind and helpful. I had 3 delicious dinners each night. Breakfast was substantial and tasty. Beautiful views of the valley and mountains. Terrific chalet It was perfect
