Our family absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Cortina! The hotel was beautiful, spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Cortina, making it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and everything the town has to offer. What truly made this hotel stand out was the staff. We've stayed at many hotels over the years, and this was by far the friendliest and most helpful team we've ever encountered. Luca went above and beyond by helping us print our Dolomites passes and even assisting us with registering our rental car. Every staff member we met was genuinely kind, welcoming, and eager to help. We highly recommend Hotel Cortina to anyone visiting the area. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again—in fact, it would be our only choice when we return to Cortina!

The staff were wonderful, especially Michael with his wry sense of humor. Mohammad, the porter, was a delight, with his warm smile and willingness to help where he could. The location of the hotel is perfect. It is an older establishment with all the little quirks that can come with an older place. Nothing was unresolvable. It didn't have AC, which would be fine except when it was really hot. The windows, open fully, in our room did help a lot. It was never so uncomfortable we couldn't sleep. The church bells might also be a little loud at times but I loved it.

The faculty was incredible, even going as far to pack me a breakfast bag for my travels the next morning (they did forget utensils though). The spa/sauna room downstairs should be advertised more it was such a sweet treat to add value to the hotel. My 'vintage' room was SO magical and my balcony was the best gift ever.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and overall experience was excellent. Free breakfast was amazing and delicious addition! We had the best time at Hotel Cortina!

Excellent location, right in the city center. Very friendly staff, always ready to help - even late in the night. Nice breakfast, with fresh fruits and plenty of choice for all tastes. They have a secure parking somewhere for free (they go park the car and return it when you need it). The room was quite small for a "Junior Suite", and the "sofa bed" was actually for one person. But the room had a big balcony with a table and two chairs, which was nice. Good service but still expensive in my view (although this is now the norm in Cortina).

The location was perfect. Right in the center of everything, restaurants, shops, etc. The staff is so dedicated to making your stay the best it can be. Hugo and Daniello were especially helpfull, warm and friendly. The wait staff in the breakfast dinning room were very professional and kind. Coffee maker in the room.

The hotel is quite tired. I booked a junior suite and found the room to be small and in desperate need of updating. Very dated.

Location and staff and cleanliness Corner bathroom mirror was a little awkward to use. Staff cleaned room and did turn down service whether you wanted it or not. There was no do not disturb sign to place on door.

The best location in Cortina! Wish we could stay longer!

Central location, helpful porters, most staff very helpful and kind- particularly the porter Michele and the more junior staff in the bar/restaurant. The cleaning lady servicing our room was lovely. The hotel also allowed us to depart one day earlier than originally booked for no extra charge. Around New Year’s the staff are generally overworked, showing signs of stress. The head waitress/maitresse d’ at the hotel restaurant, whilst undoubtedly good at her job in the technical sense, was incredibly stern, to the point of, during our first encounter, questioning repeatedly whether we were actually staying at the hotel and then greeting us with sighs and reproachful glances at breakfast almost every morning (making it very clear that your appearance for breakfast did not make her any happier!). Because of her, it felt a little like being in an institution rather than a fourth star hotel. With the nightly rate north of Euro 1 thousand we were paying, the hotel could have done better. The pet policy of the hotel, advertised as pet friendly, actually implies that one is not allowed to leave one’s do in the room by itself. This means one cannot venture outside in the evening without taking his dog everywhere, which, around New Year’s Eve, is impractical, given the large crowds and loud fireworks which bother the dog. This also means you cannot enter most crowded bars/restaurants without running the risk of somebody stepping on the dog or the dog frightening somebody. To be fair to the hotel, we were informed of this before our arrival, and offered free cancellation if we were not agreeable - but not before actually booking the suite at the hotel. We were offered to engage a dog seater, which we did, obviously incurring extra expense, before we were able to convince the hotel the dog was more comfortable in the room by itself and would not cause any damage. It would have been better to disclose this immediately on booking.com so people are aware of this part of their pet policy when booking.

It was awesome to stay so close to the center of Cortina. The rooms were comfy and delightful. There was a great breakfast spread each day. The centralized digital climate control somehow led to an issue with a runaway heater in our room one evening. They sorted it out, but it wasn't clear to me exactly why that happened. Keep an eye on it, and ask the helpful staff if it seems to be acting unusually!

Terrific location in the heart of Cortina. It cannot be beat. Wonderful helpful staff.

  • Engine customer Sep 2024

The price, but almost everywhere in Cortina is overpriced.

  • Engine customer Sep 2024

Centrally located in the pedestrian district of Cortina. Friendly, slightly old fashioned, alpine hotel, leaving little to complain about! Too complacent. The breakfast offering probably hasn't changed in a 1/4 of a century!

  • Engine customer Sep 2024

Parking is in a separate lot, which I think may be the case for most hotels in town. Wasn't too big of a deal, and the staff drove the car up to the hotel when I had bags.

    Good
