Hostel Los Duendes Del Sur

I always love to come here I think the best place in the whole island for me . Its full of art the staff is helpful and strict . I didn't like that I have to climb up on the beds they are not so maintained , as well its always cold there to sleep . Even though I like the people who arrive there and the kitchen area

Absolutely beautiful place, with stunning art all over. It felt a bit more strict than most hostels, they lock the kitchen at night etc, but I liked it, it was orderly and clean and felt more mature in a way. Very chill vibe. I don't think I saw the staff girl smile once ? However maybe she had her reasons, people are allowed to have a bad day and she was not unfriendly, just seemed a bit uninterested in her job.

Cozy, quite place. Well organized and clean. Well eqipped kitchen. It is important to have rules, but it was strange that the fridge was locked from 10 pm to 8 am.

The beds make lot of noises and impossible to sleep with those beds and people farting and making weird noises all night.

Garden is lovely, hammock and sofa to chill on, kitchen fully equipped to use, good location 2 min walk from supermarket, artwork on the hostel gives the place a sacred spiritual vibe. I enjoyed relaxing in the hammock in the garden, the hostel has a good social vibe in the welcoming space that it offers WiFi had poor connection in the shared room

Direct bus connection to the airport. I felt really unsafe as a female solo traveler. I stayed in a room with just middle aged/older men. The area is also really sketchy. The bathrooms weren’t clean and the lockers are outside in the courtyard.

Owner was friendly and always around. An orderly well kept kitchen and fridges had plenty of storage room. I liked the atmosphere and loved the garden and rooms were nice too. Needed a few more wine glasses ?

Beds were comfortable, though I would suggest they invest in a duvet. Kitchen was very well equiped, with a hand mixer, oven, microwave ... Only pity there was no communal salt, pepper and oil. Great location, close to a few smaller beaches and the airport.

That was my third winter in Tenerife and the third stay in this amazing hostel. The vibe is just the best, there is everything I need, it is clean and with a good location: shops, bus stops, beach are all within a walking distance. And it is so easy to talk to other travellers and make friends. The staff are lovely. I was hoping that King George, who took such a good care of me last time, was still working there and I wasn’t disappointed. What a friendly man he is, thank you very much for making me feel so welcome ?

Super friendly and helpful staff and very clean hostel. Great ambiance wether it is to meet people or just chill. There are loads of amenities in the hostel which helps make your stay a lot easier.

Always my first call in Tenerife.

Location was ok if you like the calm. I am not used to sleep in hostel. I booked room for 8 woman. I saw the picture room seem to be ok. But when I arrived it was room for 5 people the beds were close and I did not realise it were double beds. I slept one night but did not sleep well because of noise toilet was near lot of people used toilet at night. Someone in room was also coughing. I booked several nights but left after one night. I booked with booking.com the rules were if you make an annulation you get 50% back. I told the personnel I left and they could sell my room for other nights to another person making some more money when also refunding me half price. They say they would do that but they did not keep their promise. So I would say to others book only one night and see if you like it there.

The host was miserable she never once smiled. The rest of the staff were wonderful. They seemed to have homeless people living there. One man didn't take his clothes off for the week i was there and slept in them he was stinking dirty. There was nowhere to put your clothes away. There are too many beds in one room .ect ect i could go on . The kitchen was clean ,and the host she didn't stop working. It's properly why she's miserable .
