Ayres Hotel Costa Mesa/Newport Beach

I always stay at this hotel every visit I do, which is two times a year to see friends. Everything about it is great! One thing that always stands out is the staff in the hotel and restaurant and that they have been working there for years. They enjoy their jobs and it shows in their customer service towards the guests.

Ayers Costa Mesa was wonderful! Everything was top notch, and it's convenient to food, freeway, and gas station. Staff was helpful, and friendly. Property was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable.

Room was great and quiet.

Took too long for our room to be ready to check-in. The ham at the restaurant on site was not good and very expensive for what you get.

Paying for parking is ridiculous to me when you're paying to stay on the same property

Good location. My only complaint is having to pay for parking.

Everything was great except the bathroom faucet. I could get hot water or cold water, but not warm water. By leaving the water running for quite a while I was eventually able to get it to work right. Needs attention tho'.

Room was clean a bit run down but not terrible. Staff was nice.

Convenient to the airport with smooth and on time shuttle, comfortable room appropriately priced, and an excellent restaurant.

The pool area was great.

We had a wonderful stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean! The hotel had such fun features like the open courtyard and the outdoor swimming pool area!

We stayed for a week, and we enjoyed the kindness of the staff (warm cookies!), the Bistro restaurant and the pool and hot tub. It really helped make our vacation great and relaxing!

Very efficient.

The first two rooms we had smelled extremely musty. It was unbearable even for just a night. The front desk was super helpful and took me around to some available rooms to see if the others would work better. When we switched rooms, we found a cockroach in our bathroom, but maintenance was unable to help us or check for an infestation. I received a pretty blank stare from the front desk like it was no big deal and the only thing he offered me was to switch rooms again. At that point I had to pick and choose my battles, so I just avoided the bathroom. If I was staying more than one night, I would have looked for another place to stay.

This is a great hotel, and can’t beat the price
