We stayed for three nights and requested our room to be cleaned and serviced but the house keeping service did not show up for three days! We complained to the front desk, and all they can say was they are short handed!?

The room was clean and spacious and a good value. The restaurant on site had excellent breakfast options that were also a good value. Staff at the front desk and restaurant were excellent. The toilet handle was very noisy because of friction against the porcelain and it was difficult to get the shower hot but otherwise everything about the Crowne Plaza was excellent.

Honestly, we were disappointed with our 2-night stays. Not only 1 room, but 2 rooms. The rooms are dated, and both bathrooms were broken. Overall, it's even worse than the $150 Motel 8. The toilet was kid-sized. The water level in the toilet bowl was very high. The toilet water touched my butt. The showerhead and handheld switch were broken, and the bathtub was clogged. The USB connectors on the desk lamp bases in both rooms were loose and unusable. Bugs’ dead body hangs on the ceiling. Everything in the rooms is very old. Cannot classify as 4 stars. A friend of mine dropped me an event ticket. The front desk person received it, but did not communicate with the rest of the front desk people. When I walked in, I was trying to pick up my ticket; no one knew what I was talking about. They make me look like an idiot. I called my friend and confirmed he dropped it off at the front desk, and the front desk staff also confirmed my room number under my name. In the end, someone found my ticket somewhere. The manager, Joycline, didn’t provide proper training or a workflow for her staff to handle communication. But I like to give 5 stars to Alexander at the front desk. He did a very good job trying to help and resolve the problems. But most of them cannot be fixed because of the hotel's quality and the management. I like to share my comments in Experida. I won’t come back to stay and will not recommend the Crown Plaza Hotel at Costa Mesa to friends and family.

Room was well stocked and clean we slept great and the bed was comfy and sheets were super soft
-
Conveniently freeway & airport (SNA) close and South Coast Plaza shopping center. Covered & open parking, breakfast air airport shuttle included, McDonalds’s next door. Rooms are large, bath is small with tub & curtain vs. glass walk-in door.

Parking was not good and only access to building was the front door.

Every thing was amazing

The hotel was undergoing renovation and was dirty in the public areas. The hotel staff did not refund my incidental deposit and I did not have any extra room charges. I had to follow up several times with the hotel and dispute the charge with my credit card company.

I was charged $40 For 1 glass of merlot and mini crab cakes during happy hour. Please make it clear that the parking pass needs to be displayed or else the carbcan be subject to towing. Also please the parking pass charge clear upon check in, i.e.: Total cost of daily parking and inform customers about mandatory display of parking pass required on the vehicle dash or vehicle will be towed. .

Beds are super comfortable. Everything was great.
-
The staff was very` accomodating and `helpful. The window to our room was filthy, a shame because it overlooked the pool area.
-
This hotel is acceptable for the price, nothing that great, rooms could use some updating.

For the past 5 months we have spent about a week each month at this Crown Plaza. We keep coming back because we like it that much. Very nice accommodations at a reasonable price and friendly staff (especially the restaurant staff at breakfast!). This visit was a disappointment. We came back one evening at 9pm and were locked out of our room. When we went to the front desk they told us we had to change rooms because they needed to do some maintenance to our room. We were in the middle of a nine day stay and were very tired. Gathering up all our belongings and moving them to another room was not what I wanted to do. At the very least some advance notice would have been nice. I spoke to two managers and while they were apologetic, it did not make this any less inconvenient. You may ask, what did I want from them? I guess I just thought this was a really bad practice and wanted them to acknowledge that and consider doing business differently in the future.

Building is a little run down on the outside but did not affect our stay at all. Would return again!

Upon departing I had left an item in the room. I called the hotel directly and spike with the front desk. They said they would call me back with news of the item. They didn't and i called back for information later that day. They then said that the head of housekeeping was the last to enter the room. They had left for the day and would be spoken with the following day. That was 4 days ago and no response. The hotel room was nice. Tye show needs major maintenance. It was a roll in shower. I own short term rentals and follow up immediately. If i have a reason Incan not I let them know when I’ll be getting back to the guest and why. A show with cracks and old paneling should not happen. Maybe their standard showers are different. This was a handicapped shower. It's all above
