Sheraton Suites Akron Cuyahoga Falls

The A/C in the gym was broke, The sauna was out of order and the hot tub was permanently closed. Short staff for the Club Lounge breakfast so it was canceled and vouchers were given for the restaurant buffet. The initial greeting was all about what not to do at the hotel versus making you feel welcome. We were a family of 4, we were accosted by the Club Lounge host that we each had to use the key individually to enter the Club Lounge. Something sticky on the snack bar counter in the room. Not a pleasant experience over all.

The safe in the room didn’t work properly. The fitness room HVAC wasn’t working. The place needs a refresh.

Staff failed to repair TV for 3 days until end of stay. Insufficient towels.

Well… Our room had a 2 foot section of wallpaper falling away from the wall exposing black mold. Then, the TV didn’t work at all for two days. They said the whole hotel was down. Next, I couldn’t work out, because the AC was out of order in the Fitness center, and “they were working on it.” next, the reason everyone stays at this hotel is the beautiful scenery of the Cuyahoga river from the patio. Only couldn’t get there, because the elevator was broken! Next, on the fourth floor, there were at least 10 exposed wires hanging from the ceiling as you walk down the hallway. To finish, there was both mold and rust in the tub in the bathroom. The good news is, I have pictures to support every single one of my claims. At the very least, I insist on a credit. Paying over $700 for two rooms at this disgusting hotel wasn’t insult. And last but not least, there was no system for parking, and there was a wedding there. So guess what?! All the drunken guests parked everywhere, and there was not a single place for me to park. Would never recommend this property to anyone.

The room was mostly really clean. But it’s very outdated and poorly maintained. The wallpaper was falling off the walls, the mattress was falling apart(though still pretty comfortable) and worst of all there was water damage and mold in the corner above the mirror. We got a roll away bed and the women who brought it and our extra sheets and towels were kind and friendly. The front desk lady was professional, a little less friendly. The place seems like it was once a really nice place to stay. It’s very overpriced for what it is. We paid $400 to stay in a river view room, but to say it’s a river view is maybe a little misleading. Yes, we could see the river. But it was almost underneath us because we were on the 5th floor and what we saw first when looking out the window was the freeway and traffic . The river was only visible if you were standing up right at the window and looking down almost directly below you. We stayed in New York the night before and paid half the price for a much nicer hotel. If it weren’t for the housekeeping ladies who brought the bed, sheets and towels, I would’ve only rated this 1 star.

Easy to get to, close to shopping and music venue AC not working in work out area. Sauna not working.

Located right near the river downtown Cuyahoga Falls about 10 minutes from. Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We came for the hiking and knew very little about the hotel, just booked because of the river. So glad we did. Hotel was beautiful, location was so much fun. It’s right down town in the historic district so there was lots of shops and restaurants. The city also held a movie in the park right across the street from the hotel near the splash pad with lots of fun activities for kids for free. It was all around such a fun time. The staff was amazing. We went to eat outside at the membership lounge and all the chairs were broken. Also, the elevator to the rocks was out of commission.

Great location. Clean and spacious. We will be back.

We had a balcony room that was a hole in the wall. They moved us to a room 2 doors down not much better. Wallpaper peeling, flooring dated, lock on balcony door broken, sofa bed went downhill and couch was broken. Unreal.

Amazing location but the upcharge for the weekend for a local festival was not worth the cost. The pool was not available, the hot tub is permanently closed, the AC in the fitness area was broken, and the rock ledge viewing area was also closed. Disappointing overall, especially at the price point.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful views of the falls. The restaurant and bar area were a great place to see waterfalls. Staff was friendly and helpful
