Close to prime locations Soundproofing is inadequate. You can hear noise from the next room and people walking in and out of the elevator. Two ladies at the concierge are unfriendly; they can't even smile or greet you, and when you ask questions, they pretend they don't hear anything. We stayed for 7 days, and the breakfast was always the same. It's a too-expensive hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you like vintage collections, which you can see on the ground floor.

The historical display in the lobby which also serves as the breakfast area is quite impressive, unusual, and interesting. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and we would especially like to mention Mina at the reception and Alex the bellboy. The hotel is located in the city center within walking distance of the Dragon Bridge, with plenty of cafes, massage salons, pharmacies, and supermarkets nearby. The room on the 7th floor had a city view of the buildings and featured two beds, a tea table with chairs, a computer desk with a chair, and a TV. Daily cleaning was provided along with coffee, tea, and 2 bottles of water. The hotel is old and clearly has not had a major renovation in a long time. The first room we checked into had a strong smell of mold, with mold present on the walls and near the AC vents. There was also white mold fungus on the ceiling, likely due to a leak from above or the air conditioner, and the window looked out onto the building's roof. After we complained, the reception resolved the issue quickly and upgraded us to a more spacious room on the top floor with a balcony. There was no smell there, but even in that room, there was mold on the wall shared with the bathroom. The breakfast is included and runs from 6:30 to 9:00, but the selection is limited and mainly catered to Asian guests. Sometimes the bread was stale and moldy, and the fruits/vegetables tasted old, as if left over from the previous day. Overall, the hotel relies heavily on its antique interior, and in my opinion, the high rating is overrated for the price they charge.

Property is situated in walking distance to the Dragon Bridge. The room was exceptionally big and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and provided us with a lovely Anniversay gift upon our arrival. The bed was extremely hard. Even though the apartment had a kitchen there was no cooking utensils including chopsticks, knives or forks and only a very small fry pan. The balcony was unusable due to it being so small. I could barely stand on it. The breakfast was average and didn’t really cater to Westerners. It was also very loud and chaotic.

Ambience Nothing

I saw broken chair foot at the lounge near reception. The door at the balcony cannot be locked. I am asking for 2 keycards but retorted with forewarning that if lost i have to pay for 100. These are not standards i supposed for hotels.

Absolutely love this hotel. I personally don’t think the photos online do it justice. It is so cool with all the antique decor. The food was delicious. There was a very friendly bellhop called Phong(I believe) he was so friendly and helpful. I didn’t love my experience with the front desk staff. They weren’t mean, but it always felt awkward and uncomfortable when I spoke to them. I’m the type of person that always says hello and goodbye to the staff in passing. I purposely avoided that here. They looked at me like I was gonna squirt them with water every time I walked up to the desk. It was very strange. It did not feel warm and welcoming.

Great location but poorly staffed. Very few people working in this property. Strange restaurant setup right in main hall open reception making one feel like prison kitchen and mess. Poorly staffed. Restaurant setup like prison kitchen and mess like. Staff very poorly trained in English which makes foreign customers difficult to communicate. Breakfast is ok with nothing exceptional and very few options. Felt like living in a museum as the owner has more space occupied with his petpive art collection and very little space for customers to walk around while being very restrictive for anyone to touch any objects. It felt like living in jail. Outside is very noisy with construction and lumberjacks going at it making noise unbearable. The owner is always sitting in his special chair playing his loud music on his antique instruments that can be heard everywhere in the hotel and no none can hear themselves so can get very u for table when in main lobby.

Location It is given a higher rate on booking than it should be. I have a long list about what I did not like. Starting with the room, there was mold on the wall under the air conditioner opening, the walls were falling off. VERY old furniture, hard like a rock mattresses, room and the entire building smelled bad, room service did not sweep the floors on a daily basis. Garbage can was already full. Bathroom was moldy, water temperature in the shower was not stable almost got burnt, drainage is leveled towards the shower door and not the drain. There was no hand soap provided, shampoo and body wash were never filled during my stay, no conditioner provided. One 3/4 toilet paper was provided and had to call asking for more. Number of towels matched exact number of room users, no wash towels provided. One hanger per person provided. Breakfast 6AM to 9AM. I was told there is one free afternoon tea was included in my stay to use it at any day during my stay between the hours of 5PM to 7PM that was never true, when I asked for it at 5:30PM on the day before my last stayed day I was told it is too late and that they serve it between the hours of 2PM and 4PM. I spent almost 15 min checking out until room service counted the towels, hangers, cups, …. etc. In the room! And oh by the way, they only leave you ONE SHEET OF PAPER PER DAY to use and they leave none before your last day. In conclusion 3 days of my trip was ruined because I make a horrible choice based on a false rating of this hotel.
