The hostel was very clean and the staff super friendly. They had a free to use washing machine which was super helpful! The common area are awesome which made it nice to have some calm time and enjoy a meal! Location was good, really near the Main Street of the old town but in a quieter area Also the dog was a good companion!! Nothing much to say..

The bathroom could be improved with some separation between the toilet and the shower area to prevent the whole room from getting wet (perhaps a curtain or a sliding door?).

Good location, friendly and helpful owner. TV in room not working. Bathroom plastic shelf broken? Not able to placed toothbrush, toothpaste in bathroom.

bedding was clean but whole hostel needs renovation . my room is large . the floor is concrete . no lift at all. it needs lift.

Awesome place! Perfect location in the ancient city. There is a nice cafe in the hostel with Yunnan specialty coffees and indoor / outdoor seating. Rooms are very clean and there is even a Western style toilet. Hard to find in Yunnan. Staff speaks some English as well. Very helpful with directions to different attractions around Dali.

The helpfulness of the receptionist, the close proximity to the Old City and the abundance of restaurants nearby. Perhaps the management may wish to consider installing a proper shower sliding door. Currently, the half glass partition does not prevent the water from the shower flooding the attached toilet floor.

Beautiful property with brand new and gorgeous interior. A very beautiful golden retriever who lives there too will keep you company always. Locals are so friendly and very close to everything you could need, yet still quiet. They helped me hire a great mountain bike and I rode 75km/145km of Erhai lake, definitely worth doing!

Great location. The spot is really comfortable, there's nice places to hang out or sit and read a book. Rooms are really clean and beds are super comfy. The toilet is a squat toilet, but it's cleaned daily and separate from the shower.

Host spoke a little English which was very helpful. Loved the shower and toilet were in different rooms. Great location near the bus station and lots of restaurants nearby. South gate very close. Nice dog. I didn't like the fact I couldn't stay longer(extended my stay 2 extra nights)

Near to bus station and ancient town Sharing bed with no curtain, less to no privacy. Would be better if curtain is placed for individual bed. Upper bed with no barrier, risk of falling from bed. Not easy to climb to upper bed with the current stair and holder.
