Dana Gate Lodge

Great location, right in the nature and in the middle of cute little village. Very close to all hike routes. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very nice food served for breakfast and dinner Lack of windows insulation

We had a very lovely family room that was very spacious. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely amazing- highly recommend. The staff was super helpful and kind and the lodge has a lot of nice rooftop/outdoor chill places.

Perfect location, friendly staff and of course the helpful proud owner who was extremely accommodating. Dinner was great and priced very well. Breakfast was good with ample amount of tea. Organisation of transport for our hike was faultless.

Our stay at the Dana Gate Lodge was exceptional with great food, very friendly and welcoming staff and a bedroom with a beautiful view over the valley. The staff went out of their way in order to shape food and comfort to our liking. The hotel is a beautifully and artfully designed, family-owned compound that gives adventure garden vibes.

Exceptional

It is good value for money and I liked that women worked in the hotel as well. It is like living in castle and creatively decorated in the communal areas. The village is small so you can walk anywhere on foot. Dinner was very good, there even is some music. You can park nearby and the owner gives you a proper welcome. They organise tours and hiker's shuttles back to the hotel, all the info is given at dinner. When I checked out, the hotel owner was out as were all the guests so I gave the key to one of the guys working there who touched me on the shoulder when we were saying goodbye. In Spain, Italy or some Asian countries, this would be an acceptable part of the culture but for Jordan that is very unusual (usually, people in Jordan even take care not to touch each other when passing a pen or tea cup), so as a solo female traveller, given that no other guests or his boss were nearby at that moment and he was grinning, I found that strange...

This is a poets paradise. Come and relax and know ofctge world. Its the perfect holiday destination

The staff is very helpful and the food is nice! Also, the surroundings are nice and there are area to chill in the shadows. Also, we were able to take a hit shower. The beds were not the cleanest (there were hairs in one of them and the others were a bit yellow/white).

Nice place in an incredible small old village. No windows inside rooms. Noisy when there is people talking close to the rooms. Staff not as friendly as elsewhere in Jordan.

Staff were very friendly and approachable and provided great traditional entertainment! The location is perfect to see the sunset across the biosphere. Dinner was so delicious! The staff also arranged a guided tour of Dana Biosphere and Ahmed was an incredible guide! Nothing

Great location in the old village of Dana. Quirky ‘hobbit’ like building. Dinner good value for money, food excellent. We did a guided walk with Jusef - he was lovely, very friendly and helpful.

Our stay was fantastic! You have to keep in mind that this is a family place, so the facilities might not be a 5 stars hotel, but the people are incredible, friendly, warm and always happy to help. The location is stunning. They organised everything for us, including our trek to Wadi Ghweir and were helpful and nice for everything we needed. The food is the best we had in Jordan, we recommend to have dinner here. Thanks to all the staff for your help, we arrived as guests and left as friends :)

Superb

The politeness and respect for the guests was amazing, the warm welcoming with tea and live songs was definitely not expected. The dinner we had there was one of the best we had on our trip to Jordan. The location itself is as well not expected, but the backstory of the place explained by the hosts puts everything a bit into light and makes the location even more special. The smell of mold in the room and the fact that it had no window.

Food was great, guests from other hotels even dined at Dana gate lodge. Really good base to do some hiking. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotels little shop had good hiking snacks we purchased the morning we started our hike. We were very happy with our stay.
