Clean room and good complementary breakfeast! Helpful staff.

Complimentary breakfast was great. They had toast, eggs, bacon, sausage and waffles. Morning staff were friendly and attentive.

The best western University Lodge front desk help we’re all fantastic. We left some jewelry in our room we called and they found it and gave it to us when we were passing back through Davis after a wedding in Big Sur.

Breakfast was good and a value Exterior needs upgrade. Upstairs walkway had loose stone. While not a problem for some it will be for someone. In the area between 353 and 357? Need a cappichino or latte coffee option.

My husband got bed bug bites. Three in a row on his arm in two different spots. After I sprayed the beds down with 91% alcohol. The room for the most part appeared clean. We just needed a place to crash for one night however it’s a a 2 star hotel

Our 1st room was very clean and ready to go, the only minor flaw was the bathroom door was not locking and closing properly. I addressed the issue with the front desk employee and she fixed the problem by switching us to another new room. A work order was placed for the repairment done the following day.

Clean room, excellent for travellers with pets. Easy access to snacks and drinks with convenience store across from hotel. My only gripe would be the A/C unit, which is quite noisy.

I didnt like how loud the public noises were and some of the wallpaper and shower walls were coming off the wall. Also we had a dirty towel when we got in there and the shower drain was clogged.

You can't beat the location, this Best Western is just a block from the UC campus and 3 blocks from the charming downtown & many eateries and brewpubs, very walkable. Plus, also only a block to the lovely university arboretum, which makes for a great walking tour of campus. The BW University Lodge was very clean, very quiet, with helpful staff, and the included hot/cold breakfast --eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, bagels, you-make waffles, fresh fruit, et al -- is pretty sweet. It isn't exactly luxurious BUT for the price (summer rates, after the students had fled) I don't think you can a better all-around place to put in. You can leave your car at the motel and walk everywhere!!
