What they don't mention is that the Wingate in on the 3rd floor and Baymont was on the 1st and 2nd floors. Needed a key to access the 3rd. Room was clean, but need some serious renovation. Ceiling was peeling. Room at some point was painted a different color, but they didn't paint around light fixtures. Breakfast buffet was supposed to be from 7am to 9-10am. Went down at 7:30am and nothing there but 2 slices of bread. Lady in charge was just standing there with no attempt to restock. Had to go to a restaurant to eat. Clerk had assured us that the Baymont residents would be ok. Saw them with plates of all the food like they were getting food for the whole day. Checked out a day early due to being disappointed and was assured of a refund for the early checkout. still haven't received it a week later.

I did not feel safe and felt extremely grossed out. I don’t have super high standards, just not at all what I was expecting.
-
There were a ton of ants in our room and the AC barely worked. It also said non smoking but reeked of weed.
-
Definitely do not take your family here.
-
Yes the breakfast, I was looking for eggs and bacon or sausage

I’d skip this place! Hallway was disgusting. Room smelled musty. Windows were filthy. Pool was murky and unusable.
-
Room was old, carpet musty smell, toilet seat ready to fall off. This property is in need of repairs.

The rug in the room was dirty. The whole building moved when people went up and down stairs or walked across the hallway floors. There was divots under the rug by the sink. And to top it off someone had peed in the elevator and staff didn’t seem inclined to clean it up.

Evidently there are two hotels in one building, the first two floors being the Baymont Inn and the top floor being the Wingate. When we arrived to the property the front desk staff member tried to tell me that I would need to upgrade to stay at the Wingate which would have an additional charge. After presenting him with my original booking receipt, he tried to argue that Expedia had made a mistake before eventually giving me my room key. When we got inside, There were ink stains all over the sheets. The restroom floor had clumps of dust and debris in the corners. The shower curtain was too small to cover the width of the tub. The bathtub wouldn't drain so only one person was able to shower. The ceilings were patched and sagging from obvious water damage. The building smelled of mold and mildew. The breakfast in the morning was not worth the stop-powdered mini donuts, mini chocolate donuts, and dry biscuits. The attendant only put out three of each item even though there were four people in our group and there was another table of guests. She stood watching the television and didn't provide more food while we were there. There wasn't enough food to make a meal. At checkout, I waited for more than five minutes after ringing the bell for a staff member to come. I would not recommend this location for other travelers!

Great location. I like their breakfast.

One towel per room Two pillows on each bed Hair in bed Pool was discolored Leo was very personable AC worked well Parking had a unhoused guy lurking in the bushes

From check-in onward, staff seemed disengaged and unhelpful. When I raised concerns aboutthe cigarette smell in my non-smoking room, the response was dismissive rather than solution-focused. No one followed up, no effort was made to address the problem, and it became clear that guest satisfaction simply wasn't a priority. What troubled me most wasn't the initial problemn it was the complete absence of accountability. A professional hotel would have acknowledged the concern, offered a remedy, and followed up to ensure the guest was satisfied. Instead, I was left to manage the situation myself. The overall standard of hospitality felt significantly below what one expects at this price point. Staff appeared understaffed or undertrained, and there was a palpable lack of care for guest experience. I cannot recommend this property in good conscience. There are many hotels in the area with far better customer service standards.

The bedroom ac was broken and did not work in the 1st room plus our tub was clogged with something black so no showers for us. The second room the ac worked and so did the tub but the toilet clogged! The pool was closed all weekend, the hallway rugs were sticky. The ice machine on the 3rd floor you had to shimmy shake it to get it to work. The pretzels in the vending machine were expired. The breakfast was far from a full breakfast. They had waffles and pancakes lol. We will not be staying here again!

Breakfast was mostly a chaffing dish of biscuits n gravy and juice that tasted watered down. Already cancelled our return trip stay.

I feel like I got catfished. We were in Dayton for an impromptu baseball tournament and needed a place to stay for one night. Pool - was outside, this place is in hood and has live in residences. Did not feel safe although it was close to everything. Breakfast - they served biscuits, toast, and waffles and cereal. The juice machine wasn’t working and needed changing. Room had a no smoking sign but smelled liked 3 full cartons of cigarettes. Beds were uncomfortable. I was so happy to get out of there. Will not stay here again. Oh yeah, trash EVERYWHERE!

The pictures was A.I and the hotel was nasty

Absolutely filthy. Beer bottle under bed. Not vacuumed. Road noise was terrible. Bathroom floor had dirt everywhere, like actual sand/mud. Tub didn't drain. Shower curtain had burn holes in it. Hall was filthy. Broken flooring in elevator. Staff was polite. Parking lot was clean.
