Residence Inn by Marriott Daytona Beach Oceanfront

This was our first time staying at Residence Inn, the overall experience was great, breakfast was good, the beach view was nice, the room was clean, and pool was nice as well. We liked everything about the hotel.

I love the staff! John, the manager is one of my favorites, he is the kindest sweetest person ever! This is our 3rd year in a row staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott Daytona Beach Oceanfront. The hotel is always clean, always smells amazing, the staff is always friendly, smiling, welcoming and accommodating! Drinks from the bartender Shelia are the BEST IN DAYTONA & that’s the TRUTH! I always purchased 2 pina colada’s at a time to put into my yeti to keep cold which is $25 $12.50 each and I always tipped her $25 each transaction & she was so appreciative and always thanked me multiple times! House keeping is top notch, Jane is amazing and the best at any hotel I’ve ever stayed! I gave her $100 tips multiple times and at the least $40 each time she cleaned our room which was usually every 3 days over our 3 week stay, she was very appreciative and we were appreciative of her! It did hurt my heart that she was not use to receiving tips. You should ALWAYS tip the people who make your experiences better, no matter the tip amount! Let me tell you about the included free breakfast, it’s amazing, so many options and it is always piping hot, fresh and delicious! I always tipped the breakfast crew every morning at least a $5 tip each morning, several days I gave $20 and once I gave $100! They deserve much more! It is immaculate in the breakfast area and always a great meal & I look forward to it each morning! These are the people who make our vacation experience amazing, stress free and memorable each year! We met the general manager Sandy this year and she is one impressive lady who went out of her way to introduce herself to my husband and I. I just can’t say enough good things about this hotel and how much we enjoy it and the staff. If you have the opportunity to stay here, you absolutely should! It’s peaceful, safe, family oriented with activities, just a calming atmosphere & a beautiful space. This year July 2026 there were some hot water issues going on at the hotel, first time we had ever encountered any kind of issue. We could have moved rooms but we were in the 2 queen separate bedroom from living area on top floor closest to the ocean room 814 which is the best room IMO so we just dealt with it. Things like this are going to occur from time to time just like at your own home when something is under repair. It was being addressed with urgency. We were even offered a key to another room just to go take showers! John the manager like I said, he’s amazing and top notch! We really like the hotel staff and appreciate all that they do for the guests!

Nice location and the room was good value. The hotel was nice inside. Could hear noises from outside our room but not very late. The outside of the hotel looks like it could use a pressure wash.

Also, the pool had a ramp to roll in/ walk in if needed.
