The hotel was great for the price and we stayed twice. Once for 4 nights and once a week later for 1 night. The rooms are relatively new and the mattresses are very comfortable. The staff are fantastic - they looked after our luggage for us whilst we went to other cities around Delhi so we didn't have to take it with us and generally couldn't help enough. In terms of the price, it really does represent good value for money. Most of the hotels on the Main Bazaar are similarly priced but much more rundown. If you want to stay in the Paharganj area then the hotel also represents a good starting point for exploring New Delhi. Connaught Place and other areas of interest are very close by either by foot or tuk tuk. Connaught Place and New Delhi train station are a 5-15 minute walk, for example. We did not have breakfast there so cannot comment. I have read some of the other reviews, and they appear to have mistaken an £8 a night hotel for an £80 a night hotel. Given that the hotel has reviews going back a few years, I wonder if it was recently bought by new owners who have renovated but have not made a new Booking.com profile because some of the comments really do not reflect the reality of the hotel. The rooms/sheets/towels/blankets were clean, we stayed in two different rooms for both stays and another recent reviewer from Bangladesh has posted photos on his review of the room which proves as much. The shower is a mandi (a bucket filled with water and you use another smaller bucket to shower with) as well as a "western" shower. Hot water IS available (we also stayed there in Dec/Jan), you just need to ask reception to turn it on so the boiler heats up. This means waiting 15-30 minutes when you want a shower. We opted for a room without a window on purpose to limit air pollution entering the room, but this was clear on the room description. Noise from the street is audible but didn't bother us. The only complaint is the card machine at reception does not accept foreign cards, so you need to pay in cash. Apart from that, everything was great.
