The staff is the best. Only complaint was that there was no hair dryer but found out they were available if missing from the front. As far as clean, there’s a lot of carpet and most of it was dirty, but what do you do in an outdoor activity environment. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again for sure. Plenty of on site dining too.

Just a few days prior to my reservation (that was booked months and months ahead), Princess said I couldn’t stay at their property because it was overbooked. They said we could stay at another location in the area for no additional cost. I accepted it because I was worried I couldn’t find anything else in time. They failed to share any info with the new hotel- including that I needed two beds. I showed up at the new property and they said Princess is known for terrible communication, and that they didn’t have a two bed room available to me. This was after I called Expedia to ask questions about the stay, and the man on the phone said we would have two beds. I also had booked the Denali National Park Tour ahead of time and that was a pick up at Princess. They said the location pick up could not be changed.

One of the best hotel in that area but not four star

Denali Princess Lodge is beautiful and well-provided. Perfect for families of all age groups.

Is this a joke? When I arrived I was told they were overbooked even though I made reservations months in advance and confirmed with the hotel directly a few days earlier. My money was not refunded. Horrible company- Princess!

This place is falling apart. And off the cliff. There is no AC or fridge in rooms. You get woken from the porters wheeling tourist bags to catch a bus. Some of the kids didn't speak english. It's for the "cattle" traffic for the train, bus and cruise line. Not a good place to stay if your expecting something nice.

I have stayed at the Princess Lodge in Talkeetna and loved it, so I had high hopes for the Denali Lodge, but my review is a little mixed. The rooms are certainly outdated, but still comfortable and functional. I love how close the lodge is to other restaurants, but they do have more dining and shop options onsite, and the view at the back overlooking the Nenana River is gorgeous. What’s causing me to give it 4 to 5 stars the most is the staff. We tried to check-in 15 minutes early and were very rudely shut down. I understand that a lot of hotels stick to their check-in time, but this was simply 15 minutes early. When checking in then let me know that I would be in a king room, and this was an issue due to me traveling with my brother. I had let them know that due to me traveling with my brother I would need a room with double beds, and I was told because so many people had already checked in I may not be able to get that accommodation. It’s interesting to me how we weren’t able to check in 15 minutes early, but the person who did help me made the comment that so many people had already checked in for the day. Overall, I do feel like I got a good value for my money, but if I were to be back in the area, I would look at alternate places to stay.

The property is located in a beautiful location. Rooms were not cleaned properly. There was still dirt and hair in the bathroom. Restaurant staff at King salmon restaurant within the property are not welcoming towards people of color. Staff who guide customers at the front desk are also insensitive towards people of color. Will never stay here and will never recommend this place to anyone.

Place was great, staff was very helpful and went above and beyond, even helping us fill a flat tire. Best night sleep we had on our whole vacation.

I had read earlier reviews in the season (May) and almost didn't book here. Fortunately I kept checking as the summer progressed and they got much better. There is a lot of coming and going with this hotel being affiliated with Princess Cruise and the staff got the routine down. The property is stunning with amazing views sitting at the base of Healy mountain and on the banks of the river. It has a variety of on site restaurants. The village park is right across the street with typical gift shops, ice cream parlors, sightseeing companies, gas station and small grocery for snacks, beer, wine liquor etc. There is a path to their sister hotel Holland America 0.2 miles and you have acccess to their amenities. I much preferred Princess, our property grounds and buildings. There are several buses an hour that run to and from Denali State Park entrance and the parks tour busses pick you up at the hotels! My only complaint was even though the room was clean, the staff left hair in the shower which drives my crazy. And, the rooms do NOT have a mini fridge to hold drinks or leftovers. Other than that we will definitely book here if we return to Denali.

The entire property was immaculately clean and the he food at the great variety of restaurants were all delicious! We did not have a car and did not need one because the shuttle offers free service to the national park and their sister hotel and there is also a nice shopping center right across the street.

Great hotel and amenities. Friendly and helpful staff but overall hotel room is old. Needs an upgrade.

It was disappointing that the property was overbooked and that more effort was not made to make contact via phone call. Additionally, when we attempted to respond to their prior communications (via Expedia) once at the new property, our messages were left without a response until they were seeking feedback on check-out from the property we were not staying at.

It was good stay, they could have done better.

The rooms definitely need a facelift! The walls & doors are all scuffed up, and there was a water leak mark on the ceiling of the bathroom. And we felt like the floors weren’t level and the room smelled musty. The room was clean- but just ‘old’!

Great property grounds with beautiful views
