About Grande Denali Lodge
Offering panoramic views of Denali Canyon, this rustic lodge is 1.6 miles from Alaska Travel Adventures and Denali National Park. It features on-site dining and guest rooms equipped with a coffee maker. Each of the warmly colored rooms at this Denali National Park lodge includes dark hardwood furniture. Guests can watch cable TV, featuring the Alaska Channel. A work desk and refrigerator are provided. The Grande Denali Lodge lobby features river rock fireplaces, comfortable seating, and vaulted ceilings. The front desk is open 24 hours a day and a gift shop is located just off the lobby. Also off of the lobby is the Alpenglow Restaurant, serving contemporary dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Peak Spirits Lounge offers views of the Alaska Mountain Range and a variety of specialty drinks. Coffee and snacks are available all day at the Peak Express Coffee Shop. Denali ATV Adventures is across the street from the Grande Denali Lodge. Denali Raft Adventures is less than 1 mile from the lodge.

Spent $500+ for 1 night overlooking the dusty parking lot with tour buses.

Great views but on a high cliff which means relying on buses and additional transportation costs in the Denali park area. It was clean but we did get a room which had an elevator next to it and lots of sound from the clothes washing room too. In terms of baggage transfer from the railroad depot to the hotel, we experienced some mishaps with our luggage too and had to complain about missing-materials / torn bags. The Lodge pointed fingers at the Alaska Railroad while the train depot claimed that usually it’s the hotel staff that transfer the luggage in a rough manner. So not entirely a pleasant experience but the views were amazing ofcourse. Can’t complain about Denali!

It was a great experience for us. The staff was very organized and friendly. Great location. Would definitely recommend it.

Room was mediocre and property was not as advertised. The lack of parking prevented us from driving our vehicle to go to dinner as there wouldn’t be any room to park when we returned. Road to the property was horrible and nothing in advertising has prepared us. Staff was not friendly. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Booked excursions through hotel but ATV tour never showed up. Kids were so sad and whole day got wasted because of them

Well our hotel was not open due to some “ technical “ issues and we ended up staying at the sister property Denali Bluffs. They TOTALLY saved the day even though they were not ready to open Outstanding job team!!!!!! Especially the barman who was a character and totally made it all worthwhile. These guys went above and beyond to save the day!!! Awesome job! Well we slept on the mattress protector as they literally scrambled to open but everything else they did was above and beyond!

Beautiful property. Unfortunately they cancelled our first night there due to frozen pipes and no water so we were only able to stay one night Our second night we stayed there. Our room was nice but clearly had not been looked at closely before renting it to us. A big picture was missing from the wall , only the metal brackets were there. Also the smoke detector hung down from the ceiling by a wire. Considering what a room costs, this was not ok

We stay at a different hotel, The Denali Bluffs Hotel. Check-in was very long and there was only one person checking everyone in. The food was pricey and was served cold. The rooms were clean and nice. The views were great from the patio.

Staff friendly. Could not stay at Grande Denali Lodge since they had no water. We were automatically transferred to Denali Bluffs, a sister lodge. We should have been notified of this ASAP in order for us the have the option to rebook of a place of our choice. The first night the entire lodge had no hot water. The bathrooms in the main lodge were not working. There were many other things not working or were not available. Staff did their best and I felt bad for them.
