We booked the same hotel last June and I truly loved the place, location. The housekeeper, she’s not friendly at all.

We checked in at 8:30pm. Our rooms air conditioner did not work but we tried to give it time to cool down. When we went down in the middle of the night at 2AM, no one was at the desk. We went back upstairs and packed our bags to leave at 4AM. The person at the desk told me a manager would call me to discuss a discounted rate for the inconvenience. They never called me.

Please check the toilet in each room. The hallways smelled terrible.

There was no ice in the hotel on any of the floors. There was a mildew smell on the first floor. Terrible upkeep of the property and they didn’t fulfill my wake up call.

Staff absent when keys would not work. Housekeeper had to let us in our room. No one at the front desk in the middle of the day. Hotel just tired and not very clean. Garbage located in the entry way. No housekeeping-had to get additional towels on our own. Only thing that was great was the location. Half way between Destin Commons and the beach.

Location The hotel wasn’t what I expected. Most holiday inn express hotels are really nice. This one needs to be updated tremendously however the location was everything.

Location near to beach and various restaurants etc. Lack of variety at breakfast - no fruit Not enough laundry facilities. Ice machine broken and not repaired while we were there.

Location only Everything about it honestly. Worst hotel I have stayed at in a long time.

Beds were comfortable. Breakfast had no fruit. They could have just gone across the street to Publix and grabbed bananas. Short walk to the beach access was convenient.

Don’t knock this hotel until you try it!! I’m from the Midwest and Holiday Inn where I’m from usually isn’t somewhere you’d want to stay very long if I’m being 100% honest. BUT, this location we took a chance on because of the reviews and the photos they provided and it was the best decision of our whole trip! We stayed for a week at this hotel and we both were very pleasantly surprised with the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The staff were out cleaning rooms every day and you can tell they work very hard and do a great job. The main thing that I always am weary of are the beds and floors. So coming here I knew it was the first thing I wanted to check. First walking in, the outside was very clean, the building itself looked to be in good condition, and the front desk staff lady was very kind and helped us with passion and patience. So we get to our room and on the way there I couldn’t help but notice how clean everything was. Floor was clean, walls were clean, even the light fixtures and windows looked great. Needless to say, the bed was great! There were about 4 layers of protective coverings, which I loved, and then the sheets were on top of that. No stains, no bugs and no smells anywhere throughout the whole hotel!! And not to mention we walked less than 10 minutes to the beach! This place is such a hidden gem!! The only negative I experienced were the kids… a lot of them! They were very loud and disruptive, but if you can tune that out then this is the place for you!

If you like Motel 6 you'll love this place. This place is not well kept both inside and out. If you're okay with that then this is your place. Small details like my faucet not screwed down and the toilet connections not connected to the wall. No ice machines working. I could go on but it would just be complaining. Smokers all sit at the front door to greet you. We were just passing through Destin and wanted to stop and see the area. It's a beautiful area. When I come to stay long term it won't be here.

Staff was really nice. Breakfast was so good Everything was perfect
