The Henderson Beach Resort & Spa

1. AC went out first night 2. Fridge had to be replaced first night 3. Overcharged me for parking 4. Self parking pass didn’t work after overcharging ( pass is like a room key) 5. Pool water is super hot. 6. Self parking area is small 7. Can’t select hours for renting beach equipment 8. Walls are super thin 9. Unexpected fees, like 30 dollars to park daily, and 50 dollars a day resort fees. The good: 1. Beautiful property 2. Good food for breakfast (especially Sherise) 3. Friendly staff 4. Amazing private beach access 5. Lots of family activity to do 6. Starbucks coffee free all the time 7. Sprinkles cafe is good for a small breakfast. Yes the bad out weighed the good, but it was a nice resort. Wish that fees would have been explained for the resort fees. Expedia and Henderson should work together to have this as a prepaid thing. Then to pay for parking every day is crap. And the taxes to stay there are a bit ridiculous also. The primrose has a good buffet breakfast. Just do that, cause the other breakfast items are eh. And if you can get Ms. Sherise as your server, do so cause she is awesome. Overall we did enjoy our stay, but mostly cause of the beach and events we did. Not because of the Henderson.

My husband and I loved our stay at the Henderson beach resort! We were on our honeymoon and the staff at the resort made us feel so welcomed and special. We enjoyed our time at the private beach. The water is crystal clear and we got to see some wildlife which we enjoyed. We went to all three pools on the resort and all of them were clean and the staff stayed on top of your needs! My husband and I would highly recommend this resort and we cannot wait to go back!

Pool was nice

Beautiful property With nice pools. It is 3 rows in from beach front. I thought it was ocean front by the pictures but that is taken over the state park. We had a nice view of the state park and gulf in the distance. We had to ask for linens for the sleeper sofa for my guests. But had no pillows, had to use the decorative throw pillows. It did take 2 1/2 days before housekeeping stopped by. We had very nice servers in the restaurants. I booked through Expedia that says “ no hidden fees”. I guess I missed the fine print of a daily parking fee and daily resort fee, plus tax. It added up. Not worth the cost.

The valet staff were extremely kind, helpful, and welcoming. However, the valet service is also quite expensive at around $80 per day. The ladies who took care of our room were VERY very kind and attentive as well. The restaurant staff were REALLY wonderful—very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Unfortunately, the food itself was just okay. It wasn’t bad, but for a hotel of this level, we expected better quality. The most disappointing part of our experience was the beach chair service. We found the chairs to be quite old and honestly very uncomfortable. The cost is around $80 with taxes for the day, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., which felt too expensive for the quality and comfort provided. Unfortunately, the young attendants working at the beach were also far from friendly or helpful. What bothered us the most was the way the seating was assigned. Instead of allowing guests to choose from the available chairs, they seemed to decide where they wanted to place you, regardless of where you preferred to sit. The way this was handled felt unnecessarily unpleasant.

Beautiful resort with amenities, events and dining. Of course the private beach area is the best!

Very well maintained property at a great location with stunning views of the gulf from the room we were in. Lots of nice amenities and a lot of things to do. The private beach access was excellent and the staff was mostly friendly. Would definitely recommend

For the first few days, there was lukewarm water in the shower and bathtub. It took well over 24 hours for the staff to check the issue and finally resolve it. At times, the hot water side of the shower and bath would turn to very cold water without warning, then back to lukewarm water. The food in the main restaurant was very good, as was the service. The food at the adult pool was marginal at best. Overall, we enjoyed the stay. It is a very nice property. It just needs a few tweaks by management.

Beautiful resort with very friendly staff. The restaurants on the property served tasty meals and it was enjoyable for our family members ranging in age from 17 to 83

House keeper only served room one time in 5 days , expensive not so good food

Beautiful room & view! Loved the spa! Theresa was excellent for mani & pedis for myself & granddaughter. Loved access to the beach, enjoyed all day beach chairs and umbrella. Will consider coming back!

The staff is amazing very helpful. They go beyond to help you with everything. A wonderful woman named Sarah Beth took care of everything for us and so did the other staff they are all wonderful at the front desk very helpful all of them. I wish I knew all their names so sorry about that but they’re all amazed. There’s a manager at the pool. I guess the pool is separate from the hotel. Her name is Christina. She’s an instigator. She started to fight with other guests. She had somebody arrested. I didn’t want to say anything. I videoed the thing I saw the whole thing from my room. She took something from the guest. The sheriff police took it from her and gave it back to the guest. She had other guests attack him. She was horrible. I didn’t want to say anything because my kids said don’t share the video or say anything. But she laughed about the whole thing. I didn’t care horrible person but the hotel the resort is magnificent amazing and wonderful.

Clean room

I had the most delightful 3 night stay here ! I came on a solo trip to rest and relax and henderson beach resort offered just that. The food was a tad bit pricey and lackluster but the service was good and the drinks were delicious. I enjoyed the adult pool and the others, aswell as the beach. I loved being able to drop down to the sprinkles cafe and grab my iced coffee every morning. The convenience and luxury this property offers is the best ! My room was serviced daily and the property was meticulously kept, I was sad to part ways with my little getaway “home” ! I hope to be back again really soon !
