Albergo Dongo

Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with reliable hot water and a fridge, which made our stay even more convenient. The service throughout our visit was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel genuinely welcome. Breakfast was included and offered a fantastic selection of fresh and delicious options to suit a variety of tastes. We were also recommended to dine at the hotel's restaurant, and we're so glad we did. The food was outstanding, and the service was just as impressive, making for a memorable dining experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Albergo Dingo to anyone looking for comfortable accommodation, excellent hospitality, and fantastic food. The pillows in our room were so flat, I couldn't sleep. That was the only downside. Please consider plumper, firmer pillows.

This is a lovely little hotel right on the shore of Lake Como. Rooms are newly renovated and very comfortable, ours had a beautiful balcony overlooking the lake. The adjoining restaurant serves excellent local food, possibly the best pizzocheri I have ever tried. Great selection of local wine to go with it. All the staff are very friendly and professional. There is street parking available for 5 euro a day, just across the street. The ferry dock is very close for further explorations of Lake Como. I really like the vibe in Dongo, all of the beauty of Lake Como, none of the hassle, crowds, inflated prices etc. There is quite a bit of traffic on the street outside. Noise level is not bothersome with closed windows though.

Lovely village at the lake, we had a very nice terrace with partial lake view. There was a minibar in the hall with some local spirits. Mould in the shower and the shower door was very difficult to close and open. Despite having the "Do not disturb" card on the door, our room was cleaned every day, which is not preferred by us. Parking with a long car quite a challenge, but we always found a space on the other side of the road

Breakfast not great, but certainly adequate Staff not too present - perhaps because it is off season. Always nice though.

New rooms. Very clean. Direct view on the lake. Directly located next to a busy street but no noise with closed windows. Breakfast was good with a lot of variety. Parking was free but limited to one hour.

Great place to stay. Clean, safe, delicious restaurant downstairs. The End of of War Museum is a must see. Highly recommend. Niente.
