A peaceful retreat on Lake Como, away from the crowds. Doriano and Giovanna have created such a special place. The garden is wonderful, we loved waking up to the views of the mountains, and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Best of all are dear hosts Giovanna and Doriano! Many thanks for making our stay unforgettable!

Authentic and local accommodation with original materials from the period. I loved the garden with its big trees, flowers, and especially the birds that wake you up in the morning. It feels magical. The best part, however, is the hosts — they prepare breakfast with love, homemade and with local products. It was raining during our stay, and they suggested great activities to do with the kids despite the weather. We could simply follow their recommendations. Thank you for everything. You are a wonderful example of hospitality with heart!

The building was from the 16th century and had beautiful frescoes preserved on the ceiling of our room. The hosts were very kind and gave us the best recommendations on where to dine and visit while in the area. The breakfast provided each morning was delightful. Highly recommend for a charming stay in Lake Como, a bit more off the beaten path than the touristy spots like Bellagio.

The owners are amazing people. Extremely friendly and very hospitable. The villa is beautiful. The breakfast is fresh, local and very tasty. The price was a great value. Everything was extremely clean. Very pet friendly. Just an amazing place to stay! Hardly anything. It is an old villa that has been lovingly restored so some sound from other rooms, the hallway, and outside can be heard. If you are seeking something very modern then this is not the place for you.

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed at. The hosts are amazing, so kind and helpful. They provided us with everything we needed, and much more. The building is phenomenal, Doriano and Giovanna take such pride and exceptional care in restoring and facilitating this unique place. The location is stunning, the garden, the breakfast room, everything is decorated with so much love and passion. We loved everything.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t enjoy.

It's an authentic place with wonderful people running it. It's family-owned, and the owners show special care and attention to detail for each guest. The building was unique, and the garden was comfortable for breakfast on a warm morning. The owners are basically local experts available to answer any questions about the region. We enjoyed it very much and could not recommend it more! Nothing at all, except the fact that you need to adjust your expectations that you are staying in a very old building with authentic interiors (doors, windows, terracotta stones on the floor, closets, etc.)with some modern touches (bathroom, electricity, lights, TV, etc.). I think this is a bonus to experience the real house vibe of this region. However, it is still something people coming here should know and accept beforehand, to not spoil their expectations otherwise it would be different.

Fantastic family-owned renovated 16th-century villa. Located in Dongo, just a few meters from a delicious restaurant and a stop for the public water transport, away from the crowds, it is a fantastic choice if you plan a summer or weekend at Lake Como. The breakfast is delicious with local and sustainably sourced food.

Exceptional

Lovely stay with exceptional service. The owner was super helpful with local recommendations and helpfull tips. This is a renovated 16th century house with authentic furniture and pictures on the walls to go along with. Great breakfast made by owners wife. As this is an old house, it does feel like it. A bit darker than the pictures. Do not expect a modern hotel, think closer to a 'live in a castle' experience.
-
Beautiful villa, lovingly and thoughtfully restored and maintained. All the character, quirks and charms retained.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, recommending super restaurants and even booked one for us . Breakfasts were excellent, local ingredients were used and homemade cakes and jams were very good . Weather during our stay was unusually wet and cool and we could have done with a little more heat during the day .

Absolutely stunning villa which was lovingly restored a few years ago. The room was lovely, the breakfast was delicious and the owners were incredibly charming. Thank you Doriano and Giovanna for your hospitality and recommendations. We can’t recommend this B&B enough. Nothing!

Stay here if you are lucky enough to find availability for your dates! The carefully renovated villa, the charming town and the locally sourced breakfast are top notch but everything comes together thanks to the friendliest and kindest of hosts. The perfect place to enjoy Lake Como.
