Hotel Barbagia

The property was beautifully designed around a gorgeous and atmospheric courtyard. All the hotel spaces were lovely and clean - the rooms were charming, with a much appreciated private loggia. The breakfast and dinner were outstanding-beautifully prepared with great service. The hosts were gracious and very considerate. We highly recommend and hope to return to this very special hotel. All was good - we had an excellent stay!

The restaurant is a must try here Being a family of four, we could have used a little more space to hang/fold our Clothing

Could have a bit more personal touches like fruit or jams from the property, but that’s more of a suggestion to make the experience more personalized rather than a negative. Overall great stay.

A peaceful location, we enjoyed the veranda and had a good dinner. The breakfast was varied with fruit & yoghurt as well as cheese, meats, frittata and sweet things. Only 15 mins to beach. The room was very dark, we needed the light on. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

Great hospitality!

We recently stayed at this hotel near Cala Gonone for our boat trip, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The location is beautifully quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our room had a lovely terrace with a garden view, which added to the peaceful atmosphere. The on-site restaurant was a real highlight, offering an excellent menu with delicious options that we thoroughly enjoyed. One thing to keep in mind is that getting around without a car could be a bit challenging, so I would recommend having one if you plan to explore the area. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel for its serene location and great dining options. Additionally, while the staff were friendly and accommodating, we did find that communication in English was a bit difficult at times. Improving their English skills would definitely enhance the overall experience.

The staff is very nice and friendly. The room is large and decorated in Sardinian style, comfortable beds and there is also a nice small terrace. The property is located in a rural area, very quiet and nice views to surrounding mountains. Also they have a very nice restaurant with very good traditional food, fresh and local products. I liked everything about this location, but is worth mentioning that you definitely need to have a car to move around.

Great location, very nice garden and domain, beautiful sunsets from the terrace of the room. Good breakfast although it was the same every morning. Nice personnel, kind and ready to help. The room was a bit too small in the area of the bed and unfortunately every morning has started with noise from the constructions near the hotel.

Amazing place with fantastic panoramatic view on the mountains. We stayed only one night, but definitely will return sometime for longer period. Everything was perfect

It was very pleasant stay! Hotel is located in stunning area, unfortunately only accessible by car. Room was very clean and has interesting design. We're very recommended hotel's restaurant, traditional sardinian food in the beautiful garden! We will definitely come back someday!

Hotel Barbagia is quite amazing. It is very simple and down to earth yet with a lot of character and style. Being away from any traffic noise, there is absolutely no sound to interrupt your sleep (except for the occasional donkey which is welcome). No need to switch on the aircon either - just leave the terrace door open for the night and let the mountain breeze cool you. The hotel boasts one of the best restaurants around with locals frequenting. Staying here, you have no need to worry about where to dine. Similarly, the breakfast buffet is rich in choice with sweet and savoury food, fruit and (seriously) the best coffee! Lovely place run by lovely people! I have enjoyed every aspect of my stay here and I like to think that I will come again.
