Palazzo Cherchi

Great breakfast, beautifully decorated rooms with antiques. Great location but a little loud at night.

We were fortunate to stay during the week of the 15th of August where Dorgali hosts We stayed at Palazzo Cherchi during the August festival in Dorgali and it was absolutely wonderful — traditional music, costumes, processions, and horses filled the town with life. The hotel is a beautifully renovated palazzo; our room was spacious, the bed comfy, bathroom well-equipped, and we loved having a small terrace. The rooftop terrace is spectacular, with 360° views and unforgettable sunsets (a bonus you don’t get in Cala Gonone!). The hotel is located in the middle of the old town, which means you can’t park your car on the street, but there is free parking just 5 minutes away. We didn’t mind the short walk at all. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options, and the staff were so accommodating — even arranging an early breakfast before our sailing trip. Maria was amazing, always quick to reply on WhatsApp with recommendations and even helped us book a restaurant. Couldn’t fault a thing — highly recommend and would stay again!

Great value for money. The confusing and rather noisy Aircon unit. Bed was quite firm but, that seems to be normal for Sardinia.

Beautiful property lovingly restored. Fantastic sunset from the roof top terrace. Our host Maria was both very professional and extremely friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to help us in our stay. Great breakfast, great location and fabulous property with lovely room. Really can't say enough superb. Nothing negative only positives.

The palazzo itself, a renovated old family home is beautifully renovated, comfortable, clean, with very tasty breakfast and very attentive, authentic and polite staff. Located in dorgali, not far from hiking spots or the sea with magnificent beaches (15min car ride) We liked everything!

Terrace, the old style look, location, nearby free parking proximity, clean Breakfast was a bit poor, no bins other than the one in the bathroom, staff doesn't speak English that well leading to confusing situations (e.g. we didn't have our room cleaned because we locked both doors), one of the lamps wasn't working, WiFi isn't good on upper floors either

Really nice location in a stunningly renovated classical hotel. It has a lot of charm and the rooms are big and cozy. Breakfast was great. The host was amazing, she did everything to accommodate for our stay, gave us lots of tips for the area and all things to do. Super noise location. It sounds as if the windows are open, even if they are closed, and it can get pretty loud on the street at night.

This house is restored with great love and attention to every detail. We felt very comfortable there. Maria, the owner , is a fantastic host. She made us feel totally welcome and produced an excellent and varied breakfast every morning including home made cakes. The roof top terrace is wonderful for watching the sun set over the mountains. We highly recommend Palazzo Cherchi and give our special thanks to Maria for making our stay so special and memorable.

The most charming and peaceful space to truly experience this magical town. From the welcome and to our entire stay, we enjoyed only solitude in every moment and kindness from the staff. The decor, the terrace, our room and everything of the property is well thought of and all is absolutely beautiful. Very clean, spotless and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and very much enjoyable. Such a special place to experience.

The building is BEAUTIFUL and so gorgeously restored. The rooms are tastefully decorated and beautifully appointed. The rooftop is STUNNING - offering the most gorgeous panoramic views of the surrounding city and mountains. Breakfast is DELICIOUS (especially the cheese cake). STAY HERE instead of anywhere else in Cala Gonone - Dorgali is a gorgeous, and much more authentic town and this accomodation is incredible. Nothing!
