However, it is important to note that the listing on booking specifically lists private parking as one of the amenities, including a private garage. There is no such thing for cars in Ghivone Albergo Diffuso, which we found very offputting as parking was very important to us and we didn’t even consider places with no available parking. We got lucky and were able to park on a piazza very close by and the whole thing could have been only a sight inconvenient and easily fixed mistake on the ad, were it not for the lady at the reception during our checkout. When I politely brought up the issue with the booking ad and asked her to take a look and fix that so other people didn’t go through the same frustration we did, she got immediately defensive and started speaking aggressively, blaming the booking platform, blaming me (?), saying she was sure there were no such thing on her ad despite me showing her the ad on booking.com and the first information being “private parking”. She even said, when I said it was just a feedback, “don’t talk loud to me!”, although I had a very inflammed throat and was literally unable to speak above a whisper. It was incredibly uncomfortable and just plain bad service. The rest of the staff was polite and friendly, but would not stay there again.

This very nice hotel is located right in the heart of the village. The hostess was very welcoming and explained some of the history of the area to us. The rooms were good, though noise did transfer. However, the room was very quiet at night and we slept really well. We were able to store our bikes in a very secure location inside the hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay there.

Breakfast was very nice and we especially enjoyed the freshly baked local tortes and fresh melon. Elena made us the best coffee in the morning and was so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Marianna, Caterina and Angela, were very helpful, suggesting sights to see and ensuring that places were open and checking weather conditions. The ladies who serviced the rooms were so friendly and kind. Great staff! If you cannot manage stairs, there is not an elevator. Parking is tricky in the area.

Unbelievable! I can’t believe all these reviews! Are these people are never travelled before?! Room is super small, bed is terrible. After one night my neck was hurting so much that I had to go to fysio. No welcome water and still € 85 per night!!! Quality really doesn’t match the pricing here! Honestly one of the worst places I stayed ever! No wine glasses and no any cutlery! A fridge is a joke. The driving through old town was a nightmare, miraculously we didn’t scratch a car. We liked the location and the room. The breakfast was nice. We had tween beds, not a matrimonial ... During the night the matrices moved away .
