Located right opposite rail station ! Was unexpectedly surprised by the quality of the food in the restaurant. We had organised a post funeral wake and the staff were very sweet Could have done without the music playing the the garden outside. You can either have pretensions rules about dress code and real flowers or not rules about clothing and plastic flowers but not both surely !

The location was good for me, right opposite the station. There wasn't an option to book without breakfast, so I had to have it included. When I checked in, I was disappointed to learn that a cooked breakfast is only available after 9am, before that it is continental.

The reception staff were very friendly and helped me with my bags as there isn't a lift. The room was clean with tea, coffee and water. The bed was comfortable. I didn't realise it was a social pub which meant it was quite noisy, the room could do with some TLC as it was a little tatty. (Room 8) no iron or board or plugs near the bed to charge your phone.

Good hotel in an excellent location. The rooms are comfortable and quirky which was fun. Good shower and amenities. Great breakfast with plenty of choice and cooked to order. Would happily stay again.

Private car park. Good breakfast. Flexible check out. Spacious bedroom. Comy bed. Toiletries provided. A ver large radiator in the bedroom was piping hot! I could not turn it down, or turn it off. Had to open windows which let in all the noise from drinkers outside on the ga4den patio area, and traffic noise

Room described as small double so no surprise with that, however it also felt too shabby and in need of refurb. Bathroom reasonable size but not particularly clean either. felt like we were could have been sleeping in a staff bedroom not in a quality hotel room. We also found some black bits and "stuff" under the duvet between the sheets!
