Excellent for business visitors. Great location and easy to access by car. Polite and helpful staff. Nice pool. Not the ideal hotel for a family visit with younger children. We had two rooms, one of which was a smoking room and thus not most appropriate (we are none smokers with young kids). Hotel parking expensive (20 euros per day) but not unexpected in a big city. Shame the sauna was not available.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful area. Nothing although parts of the hotel weren’t open due to the public holiday

The breakfast was plentiful. The room was big and comfortable. The location is great with the U-Bahn so nearby into the city centre. But most importantly was Maike. She is fantastic in the front-desk, professional and very friendly, forthcoming, welcoming. Maike is an all-round 'human' to deal with, not a cold robotic type. Maike is really pleasant to chat with. If you run the employee of the month, I would definitely put her forward to be nominated - the very least. Many thanks for making our stay so wonderful! Unfortunately, it was a very short stay, but if and when we return to Dortmund, we will stay here again! Nothing to do with the hotel, other than that we couldn't stay longer!

Its location within the park is very beautiful. Staff is helpful and room was clean. If there's a concert in the park at night, it's difficult for a young child to sleep in their room.

Friendly staff and good breakfast We booked the hotel for holiday (our child’s request for the swimming pool as advertised on internet (we drove 4 hours from another location to visit this hotel); the pool was 75% taken by externals for swimming classes for children when we arrived. The classes lasted all day until 18.00. The swimming teacher was unfriendly and a bit mad in German and hand gestures to my child that he needed to get out but we are international hotel guests. We did not understand why she got upset. After going back to the reception to ask what’s going on, it appears that we should not swim in the area across the line because of classes. In the smaller pool area there were 4 other hotel guests (impossible to swim) and my child got injured because on the sharp corners in that pool area. Meanwhile lots of mothers/fathers/children in and out in the “relaxed” and “private” pool area. It was uncomfortable because we did not expect this. Also there is no communication/ warning/ advertisement about this. The next morning after breakfast the same thing with the pool (60% was closed for hotel guests) we could use the pool limited because there were no other hotel guests. This time classes with very kind adults/and a very kind teacher. They also had some music that was good. For the manager/director: it is remarkable to keep this information secret. Where is your customer service mindset? We feel scammed and payed for full facilities. The bed/breakfast we could have had elsewhere for only 35% of the price. I think it is bad customer experience/impact. Yesterday we stayed because we couldn’t drive another 4 hours back and the kindest receptionist was there to hear us: she apologized for the situation. She deserves a better working environment.
