Chap at reception (owner), very polite and checked in very quickly. The room itself was clean and ample room for a single. I didn't utilise the facilities so can't comment on them. The constant noise. First off it was the creaking bed, turns out it wasn't just mine. I could hear everything and everyone. From the extremely loud guests walking back and forth along the creaky hallway late on in the evening, to the constant raised voices and slamming of doors. The road leading down to the hotel really needs to be looked at and pot holes filled in.

Good place, cleans and lovely hosts. Loud at night as floors creak and the driveway need serious work. There are a lot of potholes on the way to the car park. Floors creak when people are going past. Driveway to the car park was full of potholes.

Plenty of parking spaces, easy access to motorway and convenient for town centre. Very hospitable staff. Good breakfast. Access road a bit rough. Vegetarian/vegan breakfast choice a bit limited.

The room contained not just USB charge slots, but even 1 electrical socket of the international standard, which is not ordinary for UK. Breakfast was tasty. Squeaky bed

Room was adequate. King bed with clean linen. The breakfast room was ok and the breakfast was generous. Close to train station for access into Edinburgh. The common corridor was very worn. The walls were very thin and noise was an issue. The driveway is very rough The whole place needs some tlc.
