Old school hotel. Friendly staff, Great room, very pleasant grounds, excellent dinner menu great breakfast. Walking distance from station as arrived by train. Absolutely no sound insulation between room walls.Impossible to sleep as EVERYTHING going on in adjacent rooms could be heard down to normal conversations. There was a wedding party there and the noise never stopped all night with loud talking, music playing, doors banging, toilets flushing, etc. £160 should have ensured a good night's sleep, which is the main reason for staying in a hotel. Very disappointing and spoilt next day as felt exhausted.

Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They gave the impression that they really valued our business and cared that we had a good stay. No fridge in the room.

Nice big rooms, lovely decor and really comfortable bed . Property is in lovely gardens with plenty of parking . Only 15 mins walk to centre of Dunfermline , or to train station - and half an hour from Edinburgh . Nothing . All good

As soon as you walk in you feel it’s a nice quality place. From the grounds and the car park everything is neat and tidy and clean. Quiet rooms. My room was a huge corner room with 4 windows. Felt like I was in Bridgerton. The only negatives is the shower cubicle in my room (not sure if they are all like this) had 2 small doors that slide apart but it still left a tiny gap to shimmy in sideways and the shower head was split. Room 214.
