I have a fondness for the Best Western chain, so I was expecting a good experience and this stay did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly. As this is an older hotel, the electrics are not quite up-to-date and the sockets have no USB ports. But that is a very minor complaint.

Breakfast was No USB connection. Bed was horrendous and noise pollution between rooms was bad..interior very outdated

Room was comfortable and rested well Parts of the hotel are in need of refurbishment

The beds were uncomfortable. The hotel was as if it is from 1970s, needs a proper renovation. The breakfast was not good, the group finished everything on the buffet and they were not renewed. Coffee was undrinkable, the scrambled eggs was a mess, totally unforgettable experience

It was quiet. The reception staff were efficient The entrance to the hotel is appalling. The surface of the drive is broken and crumbled.. We used one of the disabled bays and the car was absolutely covered in bird poo the next morning. Not sure what could be done about that other than a warning sign?

Gardens were lovely, staff friendly and helpful, rooms very clean and comfortable. Access road needs repair.

The hotel was ideal for our one-night stay in Dunfermline. The room and bathroom were spacious and a spotlessly clean, the bed was large and comfortable, although the pillows were a bit flat, staff were friendly and helpful and there was plenty of parking. We ate in the restaurant, which has views over the beautiful garden to the Forth bridges and a magnificent monkey puzzle tree. The food was fine and reasonably priced - my husband's Cajun chicken was especially good and suitably spicy. Breakfast was also good, with a selection of fruit and cereal etc and hot food cooked to order. There was nothing we didn't like really, although you need to watch out for the huge potholes in the drive. But I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Pitbauchlie House Hotel.
