Maltings Hotel

Very clean and the check in was very welcoming despite managing a busy bar as well. This was a great location for our flight out of Edinburgh.

The staff were nice The tv did not work there was no one to fix it The room had lots of dust on the headboard

Lovely room, breakfast and staff. Bar meals also on site. Nothing.

Rooms and ensuites were comfortable and recently upgraded to a reasonable standard. Breakfast was good and cooked fresh on order. Would have preferred fresh tea/coffee as these were cold. Public areas look very tired and desperately need investment. The cost for one night didn't reflect this and rooms overpriced.

The bar staff. Very clean bedroom. Room 9 nicely decorated. Slippery shower tray. No shower mat. Flashing lighting bathroom.No shelf for toiletries.Socket under mirror not working. No bulb in Standard lamp. Pillows much too high. No menus . No choice for breakfast . Only full breakfast. Couldn’t do poached eggs . Only white bread. Badly cooked breakfast. Cooked in dirty oil. Poor quality ingredients.

Very good

I loved that it was a family owned hotel and not a generic chain hotel. The room was extremely relaxing (great pillows) and clean, and bathroom had a relaxing shower with "hot" water. The hallway could use a little updating.

This is a great stopover, a locals pub but friendly. The room was a good size, bed was very comfortable and a good shower. The attached restaurant serves Indian food and it was excellent, we couldn't finish our meals as the portions were so generous. It's located on a busy main road so can be a bit noisy outside until late at night, but nothing ear plugs can't resolve.
