Hunters Quay Holiday Village

The lodge was amazing, very spacious, clean and modern. It was much bigger than the usual caravan. Great for the whole family of 6. The kids loved the bunk bed. Plenty of storage inside and the outside patio area was handy to relax. The facilities including swimming were great and staff was helpful.

Lovely caravan, nice chilled weekend and short walk to restaurant and activities.

Everything! It was such a lovely, clean place with so much to do! Wish we could have had a balcony - I’m sure we paid for one but didn’t ask because the caravan we were given was lovely minus having no balcony!

The van was nice enough but many snagging points kinda spoiled it. No basic stuff like washing up liquid or the like. Had to bring own towels. Broken things lying outside and in. Too many to count.

The mobile caravan was excellent and the rooms were very clean. All good, however there is always room for improvement. The side road to the home was a mud road which meant it was a bumpy ride in my car to the stay home.

The site itself is beautiful set in amazing surroundings. Even busy that I expected in the function room when the turn was on meeting we weren't able to enjoy half of the entertainment, which was a little disappointing.

I love the convenience of Dunoon, which was our purpose for travel. The caravan was clean and well-appointed. It was quiet and adequate for the 2 of us. I am not sure we could have functioned with 4 in the space, but we only had 2, so it was fine. I do not feel that there are enough instructions, clear and detailed instructions given for the use of the appliances. I spent way too much time trying to figure out, for instance, how the dishwasher was supposed to be used (I did not want to mess up any programming or such), how to use the washer/dryer, not knowing how to access the WiFi (the front desk did not know and then my phone would not call through to the assistance number). I never figured out how to get my clothes dry, so I packed a luggage full of wet clothes that were disgusting when I arrived home. Had I known, I would not have tried washing them in the first place. This was after googling, YouTubing, and texting a friend that lives in Scotland. Lastly, we never had heat. We did have maintenance come out, and he actually acted as if he had no idea. He did something...don't know what...and it never worked. We slept in our clothes, jackets, and scarves to stay warm at night.

We had a 2 bedroom caravan with all the extra amenities! Loved the restaurant/papa Johns and pool on sight. Our caravan was a little far from the main office , which was lovely, just challenging to being all our luggage when we didn’t have a car. If there was a way to assist with luggage that would be great! Also the wifi was hard to set up.

The beds were not overly comfortable in the caravan we had. It would be helpful to know more clearly if towels are included in the accommodations

We booked through booking.com therefore swimming and other onsite activities were not included in the price, also the beds in the living room did not have a quilt cover provided.
