Located adjacent to Duke University campus, this Durham hotel features an on-site restaurant and spacious rooms with free WiFi. Duke Medical Center and VA Medical Center are within 7 minutes' walk or less. We are located just steps from Duke University Hospital, The Duke Eye Center, The Duke Cancer Center and many other Duke Medical facilities. Our shuttle transports our guests to all of these locations, operating Monday through Friday from 7am – 7pm. Breakfast is served each morning (for a fee) The hotel also offers 492 square feet of meeting space for small events. Free parking is also provided for all guests. A cable TV, coffee machine, and refrigerator as well as a microwave are standard in every simply furnished room. All rooms have a hardwood floor, faux brick accents, and a private bathroom with free toiletries. Raleigh-Durham International Airport is a 20 minutes' drive from The Lodge at Duke Medical Center. University Medical Center is 0.9 mi from the property, while downtown Durham is 2.8 mi away.

We have a really nice experience at the Lodge. Rooms where clean and spacious, and the staff were welcoming and friendly.

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows! I loved that there is a refrigerator, microwave oven and a Keurig single coffeemaker with delicious Green Mountain coffee. Check-in was a breeze and the employees were very welcoming. They even gave me fresh baked cookies!

The atmosphere was just great, and it was really clean. I would go back.

Hotel is a bit outdated, despite efforts to modernize. Shower door was very difficult to operate. It would be nice if cafe was fully operational for more hours.

The TV and telephone didn’t work and there was no one available to fix them. Bed was very comfortable. Some mold in the shower area. Doubt that I will stay here again. We left a day early.

after checking in the room, we had issues with the toilet being backed up and also the breakfast Café wasn’t open with the schedule they gave us

Great experience and wonderful staff. Stayed two night and the location was very convenient to the highway and parking was plentiful. Definitely would stay there again

Can’t beat the location for Duke University Hospital and the VA. Nice lobby. The beds are very hard, the pillows need upgrading. One elevator was broke so long waits for that. We did stay once before and the elevators were fine. I would not want to stay long term.

This property was clean, staff was great, parking was great and safe. But, the bed was a platform bed and the matress was hard and very uncomfortable. My husband and I both got about 2 hrs of sleep the whole night. We love to convince to the VA medical center, however the bed might have us looking fo another alternative our next visit.
