Easy walking to nearby shops and restaurants, easy to call taxi to visit city center. There was self service laundry for a good price.

Yeh it’s awesome base for starting adventures. Staff can help with supplies, money exchange etc and bonus the beds are proper comfy in double rooms (opposite of most places you’ll stay in Tajikistan).

This place is a true backpacker's hostel and that is apparent as soon as you walk in. The location is quite convenient by bus from the airport. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and can help you figure out anything you need to get around and out of the city. Laundry is cheap, they offer SIM cards, and accommodations were clean and comfortable. They are still expanding as well. Great job guys! I have nothing to add.

The hostel management is highly unprofessional and misleading. I had booked the room for six nights and informed the hostel well in advance that I would be arriving late. Despite this, when I arrived during the night, they had given my room to another guest and falsely claimed that the Booking.com reservation was incorrect. As a result, my companion and I were left stranded in the middle of the night in a foreign city where neither the hotel staff nor the taxi driver could communicate in English. After considerable difficulty, we were fortunate to find another hotel, although it was more expensive. At that hour, however, we had no other option. This experience was extremely stressful and disappointing. I would strongly advise future travelers to exercise caution when booking this property, as they did not honor a confirmed reservation. The room was basically clean and quiet for a decent price The inexpensive laundry is much appreciated. Private double room would be a bit tight for two people (I stayed there solo and it was okay for that). The desk in the room was leaning severely to one side, I'm surprised it didn't collapse. Not a lot of comfortable areas to socialize. There are some options for stores and restaurants nearby, but most parts of the city you'll probably want to visit are a good 30 minutes or more walking time from the hostel, so you'll probably often resort to rideshares/taxis. Wifi is okay for the basics but for any more than that, you may want to use your phone as a hotspot.

Bit far away from center if you like to be close to attractions but close to some supermarkets and airport.Stuff was good,relatively clean,facilities like kitchen are not good,but what to do.AC working and hot water available always.Changed mattress for thicker one because of comfort.

I stayed in the 6-bed dorm. It was spacious and well-proportioned compared to most I’ve stayed in. Privacy curtains, bed lights, outlets and plenty of cabinets within the bed area. A pleasant surprise. Good for a long term stay. Plus, a bulletin board for travel info. Well-equipped kitchen. I am not a smoker and loathe cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, too many people still smoke. Because of air flow, the smoke invariably gets into the rooms. Cigarette smoking is bad for your health. It’s ironic that all these backpackers who value their outdoor adventures still smoke.

Clean room Zero soundproof. I heard (and felt) every single noise my neighbor made. Earplug helps, but the bed literally shakes somehow, whenever the neighbor made a noise, so be prepared not to get any sleep especially if the neighbor is an inconsiderate person beside the room having zero soundproofing.

Loved my stay at the Green House Hostel. It’s in a great location, walking distance to train station, airport and downtown. Great value as well. Plus the staff was very helpful in getting me set up for an 8 day trip on the Pamir Highway. Nothing

I had the private room. It was spacious, had a good view of the mountains, comfortable bed and plenty of hot water in the mornings to shower. This is not necessarily the hostels issues but occasionally cigarette smoke traveled into my room in the evenings. I loathe cigarette smoke but there isn’t much to be done.b

I asked for second pillow because the one they gave was very thin and they refused the request saying they don't have extra pillows.

Poor facilities, not clean

For the private room, it was very quiet. No one was playing music. It was a bit cold in April in the room when it rains, around 8 degrees. I am not sure if the heater was working, not on during my time there. The location is very nice, not too far from the airport. I walked there within 30 minutes, easy walk if you don't have a luggage. About a 15 minute walk from ascending to the hike to the cemetery onwards to Victory monument, an hour plus hike, very nice and you can see the city from up there. People make nan, the Afghan style a few steps away. A local store 30 seconds away. A couple of blocks away, new high rise apartments where kids hang out at the playground and swinging chair available. I was in the top floor, so it was rather cold in April when it rains. Need to wear jacket in room.

Good size room. Nights 2:00-4:30am thumping/banging noise from overhead ceiling. Some sort of commercial activity in large room on above floor. Reported to manager, nothing was corrected.

i feel really comfortable with the staff and other passengers, there is kitchen available, rooms are warm even in cold days, also sugar and boiling water is available and you can make tea for yourself. this was really cheap also. toilets dosent have water hose, small personal locker
