Host was friendly and the place was really good for us. It was central, safe and clean. The bathroom leaked badly when it rained. They had to use a bucket to catch the water. The corner of the ceiling was rotten and hence the water coming through. Apart from this it was great.

Breakfast was great. The terrace is really extremely well kept and neat. Staff were very nice and the owner came to meet and welcome us personally. I always prefer a bathroom to have a door, even if it is a light sliding door.

I was given a choice between two rooms with alternative views. The pool is so clean and blue and an ideal temperature. The bed was huge and comfortable. Big walk in shower, fridge, microwave and kettle. My most valued facility was the cold water dispenser next to the bar, which I used frequently. The main area's furnishings are very tasteful. Cassie is kind, friendly, chatty and accomodating of any needs. The three staff are very efficient, kind and helped with carrying luggage and some fruit when I missed breakfast one day. It's a very safe and peaceful location. Perhaps some flexibility, which I would have paid for in the breakfast window. On holiday I want to get up later than my work life. I am trying to be healthier in my food choices, so try to avoid sugars or refined grains and eat organic. So, perhaps plain organic yoghurt, no added sugars, rye or wholegrain toast, only butter no margarine, organic eggs, organic sausages and bacon. I always miss mango, paw paw, papaya, real fruit juice and good avocados in the UK, so I look forward to them here and on the lookout. The breakfast was very substantial, filled me up until the evening. The fridge in the room could have benefitted from a couple of ice trays and bottled water so that I could top up during the night. I drank a lot of water as it was so hot, so I was lucky there was an ice cold water dispenser next to the bar inside. Perhaps a beach towel, so that bathroom towels aren't used sand and seawater. However, this place is brilliant and would be my first choice on every trip to East London. Ps, uber is safe and fantastic and cheap.
