Maligaya Beach Bungalows

We stayed at a double room with garden view. The beach front view is really good Going to the property from street level, there are two flights of wooden stairs leading to the property level. On the way to the property, there is an open sewer which stank. At night I've seen cat-sized rat roaming the property! We opted for a double room with garden view at €144/night. One would be forgiven to assume that at this price point breakfast would be free. For us, it was not. Disappointing to say the least

The bed was reasonably comfortable and the breakfast was good First off is the access to the property going down uneven steep steps some up to 18 inches tall with no handrail. My knees were in decent shape having recovered from a minor surgery several months before with lots of exercise. Unfortunately these stairs damaged both my knees enough to affect the rest of the month in the Philippines. The sewage smells walking on the uneven path to the property after the stairs was a bit rich for a first impression. The room was constructed of the cheapest materials and it took me 4 days to get them to fix the only door into the room so that it could open without a lot of effort. The shower floor sharing the space with the bathroom sink was something I would expect from a hotel that’s more than half the price. Beachfront is really a poor description with the closest swim able beach 5 miles away. I have never given any property booked on Booking.com such a poor rating.

The location was perfect, on the beach and tucked away. It was very quiet and the staff were always helpful. The air conditioning worked so well, our room was cold, exactly how we like it! We had a trail of ants that kept getting in and dragging sand along the front of the room.

Calm , little boutique hotel, only 5 rooms . Right on the beach . Absolutely charming . Loved it Everything

Alleyway to hotel from main road is smelly due to open sewer

Only negative point would be the laundry service, our close came back smelling of cigarette. Appart from that, loved everything here. 10/10

Beverly and the rest of the staff were exceptional. The homemade breakfast was delicious. The balcony view during sunset was so beautiful. The bedding was nice, and the pillows were so soft. Hope to come back.

The way in is small and dirty, and if u carry a lot of stuffs, congrat???. The view is ok

The bathroom (shower and toilet) could be better. The room we stayed in had it shower out open not outdoor but it was weird that it didnt have a door or even just glass door so it gets really cold after a shower. Oh, and it also floods the floor.

The hotel was quaint and beautiful location/backdrop. Loved the location close to but outside of the chaotic town. The staff was helpful and friendly. We had a major bug problem in our room with many bugs on the curtains and on the bed. We alerted the staff in the morning and by the time we came back later in the afternoon the room was cleaned and bugs were all removed which was very helpful. The room was right on the beach so you do get some noise from the foot traffic in front.

Hotel entrance and reception could be improved to provide a better first impression.

The view is amazing. But unfortunately there is a but. The place was comfortable but spoiled by many details. The price charged for the stay reservation absolutely does not match the quality of services provided We've encountered several issues that significantly affected the experience that is supposed to be calm and relaxing. Excessive noises from the bar just next to the place made sleeping impossible. Meeting point for the boat tour in front of the bungalow.... When we asked the receptionist about the bar he assured us it was going to close at 9 it obviously did not for the two nights we stayed there. When we talked about it again, the staff explained that it was a known issue. We obviously weren't made aware of this issue before booking two nights. Moreover, none of the reviews raised this issue which is obviously a known issue that affect lots of guest, as confirmed by the staff.

It was very comfortable and easy access

Our stay at Maligaya Beach Bungalows was pure paradise! The moment you step onto the room The beach is just a few steps from your room, you feel completely relaxed. The beachfront views from our balcony were breathtaking, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every moment was perfect. The breakfast was delicious, and the sunsets from the balcony was simply magical. The hotel is next to SIP BAR and many other amazing restaurant on the beach. We can't wait to return for another blissful getaway! The street leading to the hotel is a little sketchy. They should clean it and improve its appearance. Additionally, the WiFi can be enhanced for better strenght.

There was to much noise, because of a construction site next to our room. There was no discount regarding this, making us pay the same price. Also the walls were to thin, and you could hear everything on the reception or on the beach. If you want to sleep well, or want to have peace and quiet, this is not the place. Only thing it had a beautiful view to the beach.

We just love everything about the place! Close proximity to the town proper, the airport & the tour services for island hopping. Perfect relaxing setting like the way we want to feel that we are at home! We had the unit facing the beach (although not swimmable, there are several nice beaches that are just few minutes away to go out for swimming & snorkeling), it gives you the feeling of inner peace to be greeted by the sunrise when you wake up & the lovely sunset to enjoy at the end of your day. Best of all, we commend the hospitality of the entire staff who made our stay very homey & comfortable. We were treated very well with great respect! We have travelled all over the world, stayed in many different types of accommodations but these are the things you will never find in hotels—The treasure of having great staff in a home like atmosphere. Kudos to Miss Beverly & Miss Riza for making our stay GREAT!!! Nothing so far! This place is great as it was proven by the great reviews by many guests! I would just like to say to guests like us, we should not find imperfections outside of our own homes when we are vacationing, but find the beauty in everything we experience so we can enjoy our vacation.

It was very easy to communicate with them prior to us coming to El Nido. The staffs were lovely, very accomodating and proactive with our needs (offered us beach towels when they knew we were going to the beach). The breakfast was worth it. The room is clean. One tricycle ride to and from town centre and few restaurants. The layout feels like it was meant for couples because the toilet and shower do not have partitions with the room. The location is not a walking distance to town centre, but can ride a tricycle to get there. The beach nearby is not for swimming but only for the view.

This is a beautiful place with the friendliest staff. Great breakfast delivered right to your room with beautiful sea views. The staff are very helpful and organized anything we needed for our stay. We would definitely come back! Nothing! Great stay.
