If you're staying longer, it's better to choose a location away from El Nido altogether, somewhere farther away and quieter, near a good beach. El Nido as a town has absolutely nothing to do (the two bars and restaurants don't count; they're just places to eat safely).

After missing our connection in Manila, we finally arrived into El Nido at 6:30 AM and were warmly welcomed by our hostess with a clean room, dark curtains, and excellent internet. The nearby beach has amazing sunsets but isn't a swimming beach. It is a short walk into the main part of town and an easy tricycle ride to Vanilla Beach that is great for swimming. Being on the access road means that the prices are better than in the main part of El Nido. We especially loved Mia's bistro that is just down the street. Infrastructure issues were really frustrating. We had complete power outages twice (one for a full day) though we appreciate that they ran the generator off and on - it didn't power the AC. Water came out of the shower as a trickle and was completely out at various time during our 8 day stay. Nothing more frustrating than to spend a day on the ocean and not be able to shower afterward. Filtered water was available in the office downstairs but ran really slowly and was a 10 minute job to fill a bottle. The roads in El Nido aren't fully paved and get very muddy and flooded when it rains. We would have really appreciated having hooks to hang wet clothing on and a broom to manage the sand that was constantly getting onto the floor.

Great location only 10 min away from El Nido. The room was comfortable and clean. The hosts were very responsive and helpful.

We were given a free upgrade to a room with facilities that was such a saving grace as the weather really turned on the end of our trip. Some of the cleanest accommodation we have stayed in in the Philippines and back up generator for when needed. It’s a little further out of town but not an issue if you have a bike! The only improvement we’d suggest would be more pillows - there was one each and very thin. I’d also suggest a screen on the windows so that when cooking you can open windows for ventilation without having to let lots of mosquitoes in!

Dogs & roosters create a lot of noises at 6 am, hard to sleep with it. Ants in room.

The location was about a 12 min walk from El Nido town center. There was a porch to sit, change or hang clothes. AC helped, the ceiling fan kept mosquitos at bay, a cat was at the front door nearly 24/7. We lost power, thus Wi-Fi one night, and had no water on another night due to a leak in another room running the water supply dry. But, it was convenient, comfortable and clean. Elizabeth was helpful with all of our needs. The beach was only minutes away and small stores too. Mosquitoes were fairly abundant but repellent and the fan helped.

Toilet flush not working. Shower drain is clogged perhaps from beach sands that ruins the plumbing which I dare say the management has Known all about yet tend to ignore the problem. They need to fix those before accepting guests. Bed sheets don’t smell fresh.

Very nice place 15 minutes walk from the center of El Nido. We had a pleasant time here and I would definitely recommend it.
