Clos Benoit, A Vineyard Inn

Family business with great energy. Ben and the wife are amazing. Very relaxing staying. Bonus. The wine at the property is delicious.

Our beloved hosts are super delightful. Very welcoming and gracious. The property is very lovely, filled with lush vegetation, and they have their own vineyard (which we did get to try this time because we had prior plans). The continental breakfast was A LOT!!! plenty of fruit, yogurt, coffee, and the pastries.........wooow!!! If you can, tell them to get the cinnamon roll...you won't regret it!! The bed was super comfortable, and we had a big private terrace...really cool!! The only thing that we felt was missing was some blackout curtains for the room.... that's it!!

CLOS BENOIT, A VINEYARD INN is on the grounds of a working vineyard. Owners Bonnie and Ben Benoit, in addition to being winemakers, are gracious hosts. Our room on the second floor was pretty and comfortable and opened onto a large terrace where we had breakfast every morning. The microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator in a shared space next to the room were appreciated.The view was spectacular; the household rescue dogs friendly. Wonderful is that the inn is only a mile from Finca Altozano, an outstanding restaurant where we ate dinner twice and one mile from the Museo de la Vid y del Vino/the Vine and Wine Museum where the VALLE de GUADALUPE FILM FESTIVAL that we were attending was being held. NOTE: although the stairs to the second floor are steep (see my photo), the handrail is sturdy and I did not have any difficulty going up or down. This may be a problem for some, however. We have an electric car, but there is no charging station and we couldn't locate a public one. Fortunately the owner of the B & B where we usually stay (it was fully booked) let us use his charging station. The breakfast was very nice, but both my husband and I need more protein. A couple of hard-cooked eggs would have provided it.

Tranquil. The flowers and gardens are beautiful the property is shaded and feels cool throughout the day A little tight for sprinter van maneuvering but possible

The included breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, yogurt, freshly baked pastries, juice and coffee. Ate outside on balcony. Location was excellent and close to many wineries. Host Ben B was so knowledgeable and passionate about his wine. Wine and cheese pairing included in price.

Great place to stay. Wine tasting was amazing. Their rescued dogs are super friendly.

Everything! Very relaxing! Breakfast on the terrace, a walk through the vineyards a wine tasting! Benny made us feel right at home!
