Tygart Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Absolutely beautiful hotel with friendly staff. The room was very clean, had a lot of outlets, and comfortable for the 4 night stay. Beautifully renovated. Enjoyed the view from the hotel room too. As it’s located right in downtown Elkins there are bars and restaurants just a walk away!

Location was great. It was within walking distance to restaurants, shops and train station. Parking was very conveniently located behind hotel. The bedding in our room was terrible. The sheets were too short for the bed and it made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. Also, the pocket door for the bathroom didn’t close fully and the bathroom needs more than one hook for hanging towels considering the room could hold up to 4 guests.

The mattress wasn't comfortable. It was like it was worn out. Also parking was terrible!!! We were there 5 nights and were only able to park in the hotel lot once. The rest of the time we had to use street parking. The hotel staff admitted to us on check out that parking is a constant issue Fix the parking issues and get better mattress and you would have a great hotel

Very lovely restored historic hotel. High end bed, bedding, toiletries etc. lots of choices on the included breakfast buffet, very nice staff.

The room was very comfortable. I really liked that I could control the heating and air conditioning myself. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I did not like all of the hidden fees which showed up when I went to finalize and pay my bills. For example I am not opposed to a "historic building" fee but I had no idea that it was going to show up. The fees add quite a bit to the total price. Perhaps people who travel more often would have expected that but I did not. I would rather see it up front and I may have chosen another place even though the Tygart is very nice. It was just more than I could afford and I got angry about it.

This is a beautifully and tastefully restored boutique hotel in historic downtown Elkins. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The beds are super comfortable, and the bathrooms are very nice. The hotel has a wonderful bar and restaurant, and the food is superb. This was my 3rd stay at the Tygart. I will definitely be going back, and I highly recommend it!

This is a great location. Our room Was very clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. There is a restaurant on site that looks great but we did not have time to try. Outside each floor near the elevators were fascinating stories and pictures showing the history of the area. This was about 50 minutes from the Historic Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. Nothing

Loved the old building fixed up so nice. We liked sitting on the porch drinking coffee in the morning. The staff was very nice and helpful

Lovely, comfortable and quiet! Excellent breakfast and loved having cocktails on the porch!

Very clean and well cared for. Stayed 2 days and they actually cleaned and refreshed the room and made the beds. Used to be normal but not any more.

Newly refurbished- very nice , restaurant on site very nice good food and value

I expected more for breakfast. Also Aircondition makes a lot of noise when it turns on
