A great, very comfortable, very clean apartment. The host is very nice and replies promptly. This place is a good base if you want to hike Vesuvius on your own (in that case, pre-book the tickets asap), explore Pompeii (a 30-minute train ride), and Herculaneum (a 10-minute walk). I liked Herculaneum as much as Pompeii, and it was less overwhelming. There are some great restaurants and a few 18th-century villas to explore. I did not have time to get to the sea, but there is a pier and a small beach with volcanic black sand. I found the shower cabin a little uncomfortable. Just be prepared that some streets close to the apartment building are not very clean, similar to what you can find in some areas of Naples.

It was my second time staying there, the hosts are great and the room is comfortable and clean

Room was comfortable, area was very convenient for all sorts of activities both leisure and business. The owners were very attentive when needed. wifi could be improved for Business purposes, but was still good. its coverage in the room was mostly fine. There were quite a few mosquitos. had pots and pans for cooking, but no actual cooking facilities other than a microwave.

Hercules House was perfect for us, it's situated in the heart of a real Italian neighbour hood. We really experienced every day authentic Italian living.. the fish mongers below do start work early. To be fair, they were a reliable alarm clock! At night the house was quiet with a good working air con unit. I used the communal kettle each morning for a coffee, we never saw or heard any one from the other two rooms during our stay. Plenty of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance, we also found a good sized supermarket close by. Enzo (our host) was a lovely guy, it was a pleasure to have met him.

Everything was excellent. The owners of the accommodation were very pleasant, they always tried to advise and help with everything. Location very good 8 min. from the train station and therefore a short time to Naples and Pompei. Many restaurants, pizzerias and cafes around. P.S.: The red wine was very good.☺️ The only minus was a little less dishes and cutlery, but it was not very important.

The property is really well located to visit Herculaneum, which is literally at the end of the street. Very close to the station, and the train to/from Naples or Sorrento. It's simple to take a bus to Vesuveus from outside the station. The immediate neighbourhood is a bit rough, perhaps because it's the actual local market and the community there just literally dumps their trash on the ground. A shame really as it feels grubby and run down - the rest of Ercolano seems clean. People are friendly though and the fish stalls outside the window didn't bother me at all. The owners of the property are friendly and kind - thankyou for rescuing me from the balcony when the door shut and I was trapped outside! The bed is comfortable and there is a small kitchenette which is well and thoughtfully equipped. Unfortunately it's right outside the door of the room I slept in so an intrusion when guests used it late at night. I chose this property based on photos on the website as it looked cosy, interesting vintage/shabby chic decor. Staying for 4 days I knew I'd be spending time in the room and I wanted a comfortable room. And was delighted when I checked in as my room matched the photos, was super stylish as well as functional and very welcoming. The run down outside area didn't matter when staying in a lovely, comfortable room. I was settling in, then the owner told me I had to move as someone else wanted my room. Annoyed but tired after a nightmare journey I went along with it. The room I was put in (Vesuvius) was nothing like the photos and not a welcoming or comfortable room. College student/dorm style with the bed tucked into a dark corner and an odd mix of leftover furniture that lacked style or functionality. I didn't see the third bedroom and wasn't offered it but assume it's nicely decorated with a canopy bed per the photos. Can't understand at all why you'd move a guest already checked in, for someone else, and it felt unprofessional. Also can't work out why the room I stayed in was so lacking in style and comfort compared to the others?? The owners clearly have very good taste and need to wave their magic wand across Vesuvius room. I'd definitely stay again but only in a different room.

The room was lovely, with a fridge/freezer, balcony and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and literally a stones throw from the train station, Herculaneum and also the restaurants. The best part was the hosts, they kept in contact all the time, and they were so lovely. Even bringing us some treats on our second night! Highly recommended.

Only the location. Musty and stuffy room!!! with a very bad bed (bent in the middle so you are getting tangled up during the night many times). Lack of basic cutlery in the “common” area, not even a plate or a fork. Moldy bathroom (pictures attached). Very loud street with open window because of the bad routes so you can’t sleep well if you want to open the window because of the musty and stuffy air. AC could be an option but I don’t like to run it all night. The initial picture of the room shows that the view is onto the historical landmark. Well it isn’t (pictures also included). Also now I saw that the pictures have changed on the property. The owners are based in Naples so don’t expect a fast solution to any of your requests.

Clean, air conditioned, enough space, comfortable! Helpful host They only have a 3 hour window check in. If you’re out of those hours they charge $20. It’s next to a fish/fleamarket that is dirty. Lots of trash on the street.

Room and facilities are amazing for price range and the owner is so friendly and helpful.

Away from the typical tourist place. The flee market just outside the door...we daily bought fresh food that was tasty and lower priced. Olive guy?? was terrific and a great pizzeria around the corner! The napoli...??great! The Herculium is just a small walk away and better that the tourist trap by Pompeii. The bed could have been more comfortable and a little bigger. (But we are not the smallest of people.)?
