Hotel am Schillerpark

The second floor in the room was a hit for my 12yo, AC was great in +35. Great breakfast, Italian restaurant next door. It was a pleasant stay overall.

They do good breakfast. On the one day I had to leave before the breakfast service started, they asked me what I would want and they put the food, coffee maker (filled and ready to go) in the room the night before. They have parking under the building, but it is difficult to get into and out of. Cars have to be parked on a "lift" so that you may return to find your car lifted to the ceiling. Not fun. On the other hand, having ANY parking on site in this old section of town is a plus.

Clean comfortable room, able to open a window for fresh air, great breakfast included, secure underground parking, easy walk to old town. No air conditioning.

Friendly staff, clean hotel, and an excellent breakfast. Also, the hotel was within walking distance to the Altstadt Markt area and scenery. We were also very close to the river and nearby parks. Parking was available in the basement of the hotel but it was a bit tight and it was warm in the rooms due to the heatwave and no A/C. We opened the window to let the room vent but people were having conversations outside until late at night but we managed to get enough rest. We loved Esslingen, it was a beautiful city with friendly people and great food. The tight parking in the basement and lack of A/C to better control the room temperature without opening the window which allowed outside noises to interupt our sleep.

Clean, close to old town, great breakfast. There was a heatwave in the region and my room didn’t have AC, like most German homes and hotels. AC would have been nice, or, at least, supplying portable fans.

Very good

This was our 5th time staying here and as always such a pleasant stay! Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is always great, parking is convenient and the staff are so friendly! We come every year to visit the Medieval Christmas market. It is a short walk away and so much fun!

The rooms were very small. The garage was very difficult to park in. in a nutshell, the hotel was very basic, but breakfast was very reasonable as was its price.

The hotel had fabulous breakfast options, loads of choice. Quiet area to stay. Easy walk into town Evening restaurant staff were friendly. The rooms were a reasonable size. The town is one of the most beautiful places we have visited across Germany, plenty bars and restaurants to eat and drink, not touristy just the way we like it. If you like old, quaint buildings this is the place to visit. I would recommend this hotel. The only thing I didn't like was that it was very hot in our room, it says air con but that's only in the rest of the hotel not the bedrooms. I requested a fan for our room, they do not supply them.

Everything about our stay was wonderful, from the welcoming introduction at checkin to the fresh and plentiful breakfast.

Exceptional

A well-maintained hotel in a beautiful city. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent with a wide selection. Parking is possible in the hotel's underground garage. The hotel also has an Italian restaurant.

Superb

We had a free upgrade to the rooms with the extra bed up a circular staircase. Comfortable bed but pillows weren't the best. Good shower (enclosed) and a decent breakfast, although the cornflakes were awful and I had a problem getting builders tea....so drank the coffee (good). Had a good walk around Esslingen....beautiful town and had a good meal in Kielmeyers Besen (the liver was very good). Pillows
