Hilton Orrington / Evanston

The valet parking attendant was helpful. The front desk staff professional and courteous. The hotel has been well maintained! The hotel location was located in downtown Evanston close to restaurants and short walking to the paths of Lake Michigan. We paid more for this stay than the other ones we stayed on this trip but the experience was well worth it!

Very clean, friendly staff.

The hotel no longer deserves the Orrington name. The rooms were not clean and maintained. Our room had a large coffee stain and the furniture had not been cleaned in many days.

The only thing good anout this hotel was the location. The air didnt work. It was over 80degrees our 4 night stay. I told staff about it 2 times everyday. Nothing was done nor could we switch room. I DO NOT recommend

I realize Orrington is an old (historic?) building. The A/C system was probably a later addition, but it’s noisy enough to keep you awake at night—if it’s not yours, it’s your neighbors. The only positive point is that it’s very close to the campus. But if you can find something else that’s reasonably close, I’d skip this one.

Lovely hotel! Staff was friendly. Room was clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable.

What bothers us a bit was that our bathroom has missing shower curtain and the lounge was too not sufficiently cool down for summer day.

Decor and location The bathroom was too small in room 528.

Great location for my needs 1st room smelled moldy/musty - changed rooms and that room was ok

The staff especially Sophie at the front seat was amazing. Not a single thing wrong with our stay

The room overall was very good. I gave 4 stars rather than 5 because our sink seemed to almost coming off the wall. It did not, but I felt that if we put any pressure on it, it would have.

The staff did a good job, but were a bit understaffed. Valet took about 20 minutes to get our car. Our room was without any towels, so we had to get them from the front desk because housekeeping wasn’t started for the day yet at 8a. The bathrooms are very small. We recommend this hotel and would stay again.

I was in town for my daughter’s college graduation. I always stay @ the Orrington.

The staff at the front desk were very nice. What I did not love about my room was that, aside from it being rather small, it was somewhat dusty and not well vacuumed. The bathroom was clean, however. Unfortunately, the bathroom was so small that it was very hard to comfortably use the toilet. And the tub was slippery and small so taking a shower was a bit difficult as well. The Orrington used to be considered one of the better hotels in Evanston, but I was not very impressed with the room.

Front desk staff are so friendly, welcoming, and helpful! The housekeeping personnel are also nice. They remembered us from our first stay back in April. The location is very convenient to restaurants, shops, and public transportation.
