Adelaide Hotel

Good location. Good for late stays and early starts. Functional and clean. Noise from street, some guests were also noisy.

The noise

The hotel was clean and tidy, the bed was amazing. They were in an maintenance and they didn't tell us about it, one day the painter just jumped into the balcony to paint the wall, it was a bit scary because it was out of the blue.

No communication prior to staying, no messages returned. So booked somewhere else more friendly. As above

Very poor

Central location. The staff members at the reception gave us a room we did not select. He said it was booked by another guest earlier in the day but he had forgotten to change the availability in booking.com. We selected a room with a double bed and a balcony. We were given a room for the balcony, a double bed with a single bed joining the double. The room was crammed. We eventually spoke to the manager and was given a room that was similar to the one we booked. However it had 2 single beds and not a double. There was no tea or coffee available in any of the rooms which would be an improvement.

This is a long established hotel in Faro. Good atmosphere and good on security. Well reviewed in Rough Guides. Happy with my choice, just right for four nights in Faro. About ten minutes walking time from bus station and buses to Faro airport) and train station. Try the Velha Casa restaurant for a good evening meal, as well as the Adega near the bus station. Trips to the outlying Ilhas are good, reasonably priced. Only one thing- there was noise around 3am and 4am from groups of people walking past the hotel, down in the street. A careful consideration of a choice of room might help.

ºbreakfast needs huge improvement.... room clean good size... very clean .... location very central to convivences the room was very acceptable comfortable bed.. very clean . cost per night very acceptable...did extent additional five night stay... I would consider returning---

Quiet location and easy walking distance to centre No proper welcome on arrival. The included breakfast was very poor. No variety,it was the same every day I.E. one large cob (bread roll) one small brioche roll, one small chocolate au pain,a cheese triangle, two portions of butter and one of jam and a yoghurt,all presented to you in a basket. Drinks available were tea,coffee or fruit juice

Good shower The balcony doors in the room wouldn't lock and it seemed like a pretty rough area so I was pretty terrified as a solo traveller and barely slept. Booked a double room with a double bed. They tried to put me in one with two single beds (which would've had a gap if pushed together) and then put me in their only actual double but the bed was very small and too short for a normal sized person. Staff were nice though and looked after my bag during the day but I just wasn't comfortable there at night.

Room was good. I did like the balcony. shower in bathroom was very good. walking distance to Faro city center.

I would say it was quite good value for the money, but cleanliness was a huge problem there

Very friendly staff. Room was spotless. Not located in the best part of town but that was not a problem for us.

The room was spacious and everything was clean and tidy The staff didn't speak much (if any) Portuguese, and the system of always needing to leave and collect the key again, made if a bit uncomfortable to always be bothering the staff even late at night
